Ask the person below you a question!

Post by Rick » Fri May 11, 2018 1:39 am

I present to you what is sure to be another great addition into the time wasting games that are really popular here at the site:

Ask the person below you a question!

Simple enough, answer the question above you and then ask the person below you a question.

I'll go first since i'm a very gracious host.

What was an embarrassing moment in grade school for you?

In 1st grade, I entered the lipsync contest with Billy Ray Cyrus's "Achey Breaky Heart". The embarrassing moment came years later, when I realized I'd entered the lipsync contest with "Achey Breaky Heart".

What's the one musical artist you enjoy that you (normally) wouldn't tell people about?

Hmm, I guess foster the people. I only ever really liked them for a bit when they first started out and only like three or four songs of theirs.

What was a film that really had an impact on you?

STAR WARS... ALL OF THEM i guess? the whole series has been a staple in my life, from watching 4-6 with my dad on VHS, to seeing 1-3 as they came out in theaters 3 years apart, to watching Rogue One to segment the gap from 3 to 4, to the new 7 and 8 where I just rekindled the nostalgia of "We have to wait HOW LONG to see the end??"

They all have a special place in my heart. Even the ones with mediclorians... even the shitty, shitty mediclorians... lol

What do you think about the new Virtual Reality headsets and what this means for gamers when they become affordable and(dare I say it?) as main stream as a NerveGear from Sword Art Online?

Very interesting question. I'm not a gamer, so I'm an outsider looking in here, but I am interested in VR so I figured I'd go ahead and answer. I feel like VR either has the possibility to really take off when it comes to gaming or has the slightly lesser possibility of flopping completely in favor of the traditional PC/gaming console method of gaming. It really depends on how affordable we are talking and how many popular gaming companies are able to integrate VR into the games they make. So how will it affect gamers? I'd imagine mostly just in terms of the ways games are played, and not necessarily much else. One could hypothesize that gaming would become more all-encompassing and addictive, but that's jumping to a lot of conclusions. I could see where there might be a rift though, between those who use VR and those who don't, seeing as there will likely be games specifically made for that type of platform that others won't have access to. I won't lie, I had to look up what NerveGear was, but if I understand correctly, I don't believe anything like that could truly take hold in our world simply because of the way stories use VR in such a manner as that and our lack of understanding concerning the human brain. That complete VR experience is one that I can't see happening in our world in a widespread manner. However, if you mean the limited VR systems we have now becoming that popular, I still don't see a societal shift in our future or in the gaming field specifically. It's just new technology becoming more and more popular, as with anything.

The good old memories of being with great friends that I will never see again for the rest of my life.

Uhh lowkey, this is really f*cked up but I think I'm gonna have to go with Hitler, just to ask why he did the things he did? Maybe running some psychological tests on him and really getting to the root of his hate might be beneficial for humanity in general, just to prevent something like the Holocaust from happening again. At the very least, it would be interesting, though I'm sure a lot of people here would rather just leave him as chemical slush in the ground.

Anyways. My question to the person below me is...

Do you believe in true love?

Yes, in a way! I believe in "soulmates" but not exclusively romantic. I believe soulmates are just people you were "destined" to meet, in a way. For example, I have a best friend and I feel like we are soulmates, even though I'm not romantically attracted to him. In my opinion, a soulmate could be a friend, a lover, your parent, even an enemy!

If you had three wishes, what would they be?

Absolutely not. It was horrendous enough the first time.

Which is a scarier thought: that the human race is the most advanced form of life in the universe, or that we are mere amoeba compared to other life forms?

Definitely most advanced life form is scarier. If we're the most advanced species then there is no hope for our universe aha. Plus I'm convinced aliens are real and watching us so to find out that's not true would be very sad indeed.

If giants were real do you think they would move slowly as depicted in the movies? Or do you think their muscle strength would scale with their growth and they'd move the same speed as a normal human?

I believe that their muscles would allow them to have enough speed as that as a human.
