Do you think absolutely rubbish ‘books’ on Wattpad count? Asking for a friend.

Only if they're questionable fanfics.

I've apparently passed my 52 book target. A little disappointed that it was during my Dresden Files slog.

It wasn’t technically a fan fic. Bloody Love Island Gane made me download Episodes (even worse choose your own story app) but it was so pointless to play without spending money that I googled it to find out what happened and discovered it was based on some story on Wattpad, thought I would quickly skim to see what happened... wound up reading the whole thing.

It was awful.

P.S. Well done! Smashed it!

I was actually going to download that, so I'll just casually steer clear.

I have a library card and I am so determined to smash this target even though I am so painfully behind.

About a third of the way through The Idiot Gods. It's strange but I am really enjoying it regardless.

Just worked out that I need to read 1.3 books a week for the rest of the year in order to hit target which I thiiink seems pretty achievable. Really want to make it three years in a row!

Just finished Uprooted - Naomi Novak for book 25 (highly recommended by the way), leaving me with a respectable July and not too far behind where I was this time in year one. I think I could still do this!

Yay Sammy!

As for me, if I can finish the book I'm almost through reading, and maybe (ambitiously) speed through one more by the end of tomorrow, I'll be satisfied with my progress in July.

Was hoping to hit sixty before holidays, but it's not happening. Still, two weeks off and a bunch of books queued up - if I get enough peace, I should be able to catch last year's figure for August.

Book 28 bites the dust.

Cannot recommend Call Me By Your Name more. Strange Magic is daft and the prose isn’t strong but an easy, chilled read so I’ve added book 2 to my list anyway.

Not calling this year a failure quite yet, mostly because I'm too stubborn to give up, but hopefully, I can get through some books here soon.

Starting October on book 78, which puts me a whole book ahead of last year. Barring any disasters, I might actually hit that 100 mark this time round.

Slowly but steadily adding books to my finished pile. 2018 will likely break my would be three-year streak of 50+, but I'm shooting for at least 25. We shall see.

Hey! So update: I didn’t make my goal (either of them haha) but that’s okay. It’s been a big year, and 2019 is a new chance. Hope everyone read some good books in 2018.
