Hey guys, I just joined. I have some RP experience with a few internet friends of mine, and I was kinda hoping to expand on my ideas in a bigger community. Hope y'all can tolerate my nonsense lol

Howdy, Jordarrian, and a very warm welcome to the Collective. I'm Forge, one of the Staff here at RPC, and I'm going to start you off with a little orientation session to help you get used to the site.
First things first, you should check out our Newbie Guide. The Guide's a good starting point for your RPC adventure, and is packed full of useful information; things like our rules, our persistent world, our different sections, which cups are poisoned and which aren't - you know, basic newbie stuff. Please also keep in mind that if you ever find yourself absolutely stuck, you can always grab a Staff member - we're the ones with the fancy green or purple usernames, and we're at least 91.4% helpful.
If you want to jump straight into writing, you can follow this link for a list of our Always Open RP's. Most are low pressure, "drop-in, drop-out" games that don't require too much pre-planning or character building, so they're pretty good for getting accustomed to roleplaying here.
If you're looking to get into a more involved roleplay, but either don't have a specific idea in mind or haven't fully fleshed out your own ideas, you can check out our Interest Checks section. This is where people post ideas that they're thinking of turning into a game, and it's a good place to find people who are looking for the same thing you are.
I'm also gonna give you a quick run down on our RP sections, just so you know what they all are;
And that's it. You're good to go. In the interests of getting to know you better, though, why don't you tell us a little more about yourself? Do you have a favourite genre to write in?

- Worlds of Magic - For typically 'fantasy' roleplays
- Worlds of Technology - For typically 'sci-fi' roleplays
- Worlds of Balance - For roleplays with a mix of technology and magic, like modern fantasy
- Worlds of Realism - For realistic roleplays
- Private Roleplays - For small roleplays between two or three people, of any type
And that's it. You're good to go. In the interests of getting to know you better, though, why don't you tell us a little more about yourself? Do you have a favourite genre to write in?

Re: *waves*
Thanks to you all!
I have a lot of ideas that I feel the best way for me to express them would be through roleplay. People tend to say the plots I run are great, but tbh I really don't know how because most of it is "Do now, think of explanation later" LOL (though most of the time the explanation turns out to be really interesting, other times you can really tell I had no ideas for it)
Well to start, I generally enjoy the sci-fi/fantasy genres. I'm kinda open to any genre that interests me (sometimes I even went out of my comfort zone with them and ended up enjoying it). What caused me to get into roleplay was a small little thread on a forum I'm still active in. I'll be sure to tell my friends over there about this place when I'm getting used to this site.

Well currently I'm trying to take up coding for games and whatnot, and I like to browse through Steam for games that interest me. I'm really into the visual novels for some reason. I'm also an anime weeb lmao
