[IC] A Journey through Space and Time!

Post by Rick » Fri Feb 23, 2018 11:39 am

Rick had been sitting on his office sofa for what felt like hours, because it had been, pouring the dark, ember liquid of Kayatolian tequila into a small shot glass as he watched a leviathan sized space whale ambush an unsuspecting tree ship full of refugees escaping a universe wide cataclysmic event out of his panorama office window. The tree ship had torn the fabric of reality and crossed through the pathways of the multiverse to get to universe XC118, sector Amber, galaxy Oceana, right in the middle of a sigma-ballenas migratory path (the actual name of the leviathan space whales). Rick held the glass between his index finger and thumb, bringing it up to his eyes and studying how the bright blue light from the tree ship’s explosions danced around the ember liquid before bringing it to his lips and gulping the whole thing in one go. Rick grimaced, the Kayatolians were not known for messing around when it came to their alcohol, in fact, it wasn’t made for human consumption.

The liquid would normally melt the tongue off any human – or most humanoids – then proceed to burn down the walls of the throat, leaving any who imbibed to a slow, painful death. Rick though, Rick had been granted with an aspect of Quetzalcoatl in the form of a blade, a power he didn’t fully understand but found out would protect his body from almost anything, but only when he wasn’t stressed. When stressed, Rick didn’t have the discipline to control the power granted to him, leaving him to his own devices which most of the time was him running away at top speeds. The battle for life continued outside his window, a few escape pods shot off from the tree ship, but they wouldn’t get far, the tree ship warped into an area of the Oceana galaxy that had no planets nearby, those refugees would die. Rick poured himself another shot and raised his glass to the window as the sigma-ballena took a large bite of the ship, causing the tree ship’s core to overcharge and explode, taking anything out in a four-thousand-mile radius.

“To risks,” Rick gave a halve hearted grin before gulping down the shot, feeling the hot liquid tendrils slide down his throat and into his belly.

“God damn,” Rick raised his left hand and waved away the remains of the ballena and the tree ship, now his office window showed the temple sky-scrappers of Shangri, a planet home to a –as far as Rick could tell – species of apes.

The breathtaking structures proudly stood above the clouds with a dizzying array of bridges connecting them. For the better part of the day Rick had been scrolling through vistas across the multiverse, trying to find interesting and strange locations that would be suitable for the rag tag group of Ark members that had signed up for his and Palacia’s road trip, (space trip?) across the stars…and realities. Rick had thought space whale watching would have been fun, but after seeing how aggressive they were the temple towers of Shangri looked like a more palatable idea at this point. Throughout the day his communicator had been buzzing with notifications from members of the Ark, suggesting locales for the road trip to stop by, some highlights included Wales…just Wales, not even an interesting alternative version of Wales, like the steam punk Wales of universe EA24571, and a distress signal in the middle of space never investigated in multiple realities. That one had piqued Rick’s and Palacia’s interest, both spending most of the day texting if they should go there first or save it for last. In the end they couldn’t come to a conclusion and decided to table the discussion for another time, much like any decision they both had to make. His massive office was only lit from the light emanating from his window screen, Rick was happy to sit in darkness during office hours, made it easier to ignore requests for help from the members, when suddenly all his lights came up and his window screen was taken over by the face of Palacia.

“It’s time, Rick, we’re all down here waiting and your ship says it won’t let us in until you get here, you know how she gets,” Rick could see the bloody red hull of his ship in the background, calmly explaining to those gathered that if any of them reached for the door again it would begin defensive measures.

Rick rolled his eyes and gave Palacia a thumbs up, indicating he was on his way down. One of the perks of being a member of the Ark was use of the android servants who Rick had instructed to take all his belongings into the ship. There had been a minor incident the first time the androids reached Crimson, his ship, who had decided to initiate war protocols and began firing on the androids. Crimson would later claim she thought the androids had killed him and taken his possessions including the key to the Crimson. She explained she couldn’t let the murderous androids take control of the ship so she began her assault, though why that assault included other member’s ships and the upper half of the Darkblade welcoming statue in the hangar Crimson didn’t care to explain.

Rick took a few last healthy gulps from the bottle of Kayatolian tequila before smashing it on the floor and making his way to the door, which the Ark managed to link directly to the hangar in a way Rick could never understand. Rick tapped his chest as he made his way through the door and his armor digitized away, leaving behind only a thin, black, long sleeved shirt, dark grey jeans, and black boots in its wake.

“Alright, people, look alive! We are about to rock through the multiverse so hard I’m sure by the end of this we will be wanted in half a dozen realities, one of you will lose a limb, and yes, most of you will fall in love with me, which I don’t have a problem with so long as you don’t get clingy, now,” Rick loudly clapped his hands before vigorously rubbing them together,” Crimson, go ahead and open your doors so these fine people can encroach on my ship-“

“I don’t belong to you, Ri-“

“And eat my food!”

It hadn’t exactly been a straightforward decision. Rick hadn’t been a staff member for long but he also hadn’t given his fellow team members any reason to think that he wasn’t up to the task of taking a bunch of Collective members on an unquestionably dangerous and potentially fatal trip across the Multiverse in the spaceship that didn’t really seem to like him that much. Not to mention that, at a glance, the sign up sheet read like the kind of superhero manifesto that even Marvel would have struggled to compete with. On paper at least, should anything go awry or, rather, when things inevitably went tits up, the group certainly wouldn’t be lacking in firepower enough to keep even the less exceptional of them in one piece. As always, there was also the lingering concern that confined within the walls of even an expansive ship like the Crimson for a prolonged period of time ran the risk of her becoming the threat to the Collective that she was so keen to avoid. But, as Forge had kindly reminded her, when was the last time she’d actually hurt anyone she hadn’t intended to? Or, for that matter, when was the last time she’d left the Ark for any prolonged length of time? Didn’t she fancy an adventure?

“It’s not that we don’t trust you, Rick. I mean you’ve pleasantly surprised almost all of us so far,” the elemental had added in her best conciliatory tone while explaining her decision some days earlier. “Just think of me as your… onboard contingency plan. The red button you press when everything has gone to shit and you’re pretty sure you’re all going to die,” she smiled, cheerfully. “Otherwise, this is your rodeo. I’m just here for an adventure and to try and keep our death rates down.”

As promised, Sammy was maintaining a fairly low profile. She arrived in the hangar with little to no ceremony, lingering on the fringe of the activity without so much as a backpack to indicate that she planned on anything beyond simply waving them off. Subtle as she hoped to be, however, the elemental simply couldn’t help but lightly bounce on her toes as she waited for her fellow explorers to begin boarding the ship. There was nothing quite like heading off of an adventure and the fact that she could, or so she hoped, focus on simply enjoying herself rather than attempting to herd the Collective like so many cats, made it all the more of an exciting prospect; every part of her being buzzed softly with anticipation. Forge had been right. She needed this.

While the others scattered to claim a room to be theirs for the duration of the trip or otherwise to explore their temporary home, Sammy followed what felt like the natural flow of the ship until she found herself in a fairly wide, open space that seemed to serve as the vessel’s main communal area. The elemental turned in a slow circle, taking in her immediate surroundings and then settled into a chair, making herself comfortable while she waited for the others to finish settling in.

Lumeus sat crosslegged atop a shipping crate in the hangar awaiting permission to board the Crimson along with others. He was dressed simply in his usual pure white, short sleeve, linen shirt, comfortable white linen pants held to his waist by draw string, and despite his lack of footwear, his feet were perfectly clean, as if he’d never actually walked on them before.

His celestial gaze moved about the assembled group; some he had never met, others he had only spoken to in passing. There was Fireglasse, the mage with the bound spell book he had met briefly in the Sanctum; Palacia, the Soulmancer who had been in unfortunate attendance at that Halloween party; Isaac Hayward, whom Lumeus knew very little about; Fireynay, whom Lumeus knew even less about; a man Lumeus could not even put a name to; and then there was Sammy.

Lumeus had known Sammy the longest, yet despite that he didn’t really know her. In some ways she was his opposite; all feelings and emotions and heart. Perhaps that was why they weren’t friends. Lumeus had learned it was difficult to befriend someone you don’t have common ground with. But despite that, Lumeus was still intrigued by her, and if Lumeus were capable of envy, he thought Sammy would be someone worthy of it.

Lumeus climbed down from the crate and followed the others onto the ship. He hadn’t pried in the hangar, it wasn’t polite, but now that he had been invited on board Lumeus viewed everything as he silently padded down the main corridor. His eyes saw deck after deck, room after room, every cable, pipe, and wire, his mind committing it all to memory. Information was critical in decision making, so the more information one had, the more optimal one’s choices became. Lumeus was solving future problems before they happened.

He had been told before that this was considered “cheating” and that it “took the fun out of things”, whatever that meant, but Lumeus thrived on collecting new information. It was the closest he could get to naturally experiencing joy and desire. Still, he probably wouldn’t tell the others unless is was important to do so. He decided to also refrain from mentioning to Rick that the efficiency of the ship’s engine coolant system could be increased by thirty-four percent with a few design adjustments. Lumeus had also been told that no one likes a know-it-all.

Lumeus eventually reached the ship’s common room and found Sammy had already made herself comfortable. Lumeus found his own seat a few places away from her.

“I did not expect you to be one of the members that answered the invitation,” he mused allowed.

Lester has been in awe long before even boarding Crimson, pondering whether the ship’s intellignece was purely mechanical or if there was some soul-trapping involoved. But now, as he boarded it, he just stood in silence, taking in the spacious interior and weird-looking technology he was seeing for the first time in his life. Lester needed to sit down, but he had no idea where an appropriate place to do so was. 'So' he thought 'the very first quest in this long adventure- find a seat!' Lester wanted to say that such mudane task wouldn’t give him any trouble, but the sad truth was that the ship was so alien-looking to him that he had a hard time telling what was what. After a long and fruitless search he just gave up and just sat down on the very first thing that allowed him to do so. He had no idea what that was, but he was hoping it wasn’t an important part of the ship. Then he started observing the others that were aboard. He recognised only one of them- Lumeus, a strange yet very interesting fellow he’s met when he first landed in the Ark. The rest were all new faces Lester just couldn’t wait to meet and exchange knowledge with. "Might even add a few new books to the Library, too" he whispered to his levitating book, Tommy, and the volume shuddered in its usual way in response.

The empty room, devoid of any facet of life except for a small golden orb was where Palacia dwelt within the Ark. Well not his Ark, the Ark belonging to the collective. The Arc Animus contained within a pocket dimension accessed through the small golden orb that lay on the cold stone floor. It did, by means of some some unknown process, emite a small amount of golden warm light. Without this light the room would be quite dark indeed. Within this pocket universe resided the behemoth crystalline ship known as the Arc Animus, the final creation of Soulmancer Hime, and within the Arc Animus Palacia resided still exploring the infinite Soul Galleries and subsequent knowledge stored within, the onboard Personal Soul Assistant or P.S.A for short. The PSA took the form of man with long shiny black hair, strong, agile body and the garments of one who lived in ancient times. Named Atsu by the Arc Animus’s creator, the PSA cared for, protected, and aided any visiting the ship with whatever they should need.

“Atsu, would you mind,” Palacia handed a small sliver of blue-tinged crystal back to the PSA. Atsu gingerly took the crystal, moments later his projected form vanished along with the shard. The shards are hard drives, hard drives of sentient creatures, memory banks crystallized into physical form allowing Soulmancers to relive the memories. The memory he’d just finished viewing was one belonging to the previous Starchild and detailed some of the stranger dealings in the multiverse. True enough, he was busy researching, attempting to find exotic and strange locations for the soon to depart Space Trip that he and Rick had been planning for some short period of time. As well as discover a bit more about the location that he and Rick had found. A location of unknown in multiple realities, it was very odd indeed, he’d hoped some of his ancestors had insight, but nothing. Absolutely. Nothing. He sighed.

“ You know, you could just take them to your homeworld, a marvelous place that is,”

“ Boring, though, too much of the same you know.” Palacia’s voice echoed through the crystalline halls, he’d a fond habit of talking aloud. In fact, many of his kind did so after a length of time, must be something itching the soul is what his grandfather would say. He spun around taking in the crystalline structure that surrounded him and then willed himself out of the pocket dimension. With silence and a subtle blue ethereal flash he returned to the small room.

“Well, that wasn’t very fruitful,” he muttered whilst grabbing the golden orb from the ground. He stood to his full height and stretched himself out, yawned a bit and exited the room. He made his way to the hanger, hunted down the ship and stood just outside the ships doors.

“ Crimson, dearest, sweetest, prettiest and most impressive flying killing machine within the Ark. Wouldn’t you open doors for me?” Palacia said in his most endearing voice possible.

“No. You can save your ass kissing for the spaceship tramps.”

“...Alright, how about. Open your damn doors.”

“No. These doors only open for Rick.”

Palacia huffed and puffed, “Fine, be that way.” he pulled out a Ark prescribed communicator and buzzed up Rick. “It’s time, Rick, we’re all down here waiting and your ship says it won’t let us in until you get here, you know how she gets,” Palf turned of the device and stowed it away in his infinite pouch. He sat down and waited. He took some note of who’d decided to join Rick and him on the Space Trip, it was nice seeing at least a few of the older members coming. Especially Lumeus and Sammy, both of whom he’d talked little with, but they’d both suffered to the Halloween fun. Palacia winced a bit at the memory, wishing his costume had been a bit more functional, blob was just plain annoying.

Finally with Ricks arrival Crimson’s doors opened and the group headed in.

“Shotgunnnn!” Palacia cried out.

Moving forward to Rick’s side he tapped on the man's shoulder, “ Yo, I did some checking into our little spot of interest, nothing in my peoples databanks across the multiverses has anything on it. Looks like we’ve hit a jackpot. Also, I’ve brought some treats from my homeworld, and some Grenwurm, had my man Kirble hook me up.. ” Palacia grinned.

"I love you, Houston!"

The crowd went wild, the NRG stadium filled with the adoration of humanoids of every color, size, and shape. Many wore cowboy hats. Others recorded the show on headsets and phones. Millions more tuned in on comtrons and implants, all to see, one woman, one alien, one mystery perform for people and droids the world over.

Her name was Moccasin, Mariah, Moojark, Mremsci and sometimes Maa. Most humanoids simply referred to her as MOQ. My One Queen. The name was said to originate from a Solar concept of government where one female ruled many other females and sometimes males. Steven penned it.

Steven was MOQ's agent, a strange looking male from Earth, the most unusual planet in its galaxy. He had overheard her in the Cyan Sector of Universe XCX. She was entertaining her sire's companions in a satellite bar off Argontini, her native planet. Mother granted MOQ the power of illusion, the ability to manipulate light and transform into anything she wished. She was literally a born entertainer, tasked with delivering her hive whimsy and spectacle. She was very talented.

Struck by her cash potential, Steve bought her from her hive and brought her to Earth, where she was signed to the Solar label. Three albums and billions of cryptocoins later, MOQ became a household name in pods, dens, and camps across the universe. She was the industry's first intergalactic superstar.
--

The feeble lights of Planet Earth faded as MOQ departed in her tour bus. Her doubledecker spaceship, that is. She had switched back into her original form, wiping the concealer from her face. Even illusions couldn't hide a bad breakout.

"Just a couple more years and I'm free for good," the mirror said back to her.

"Just a couple more years." She buried her face in her hands, her antennae twitching in annoyance.

Her earpiece buzzed in her ear. "Great show. As always."

"I'm flattered. As always." MOQ collapsed onto the couch, leaving her plasmic latte on the counter.

Steve was luxuriating on the second floor. He and his buddies were helping themselves to MOQ's wine cellar, every bottle a gift from a dignitary, millionaire or buddy that took sympathy on her plight. Argontinians knew nothing of alcohol, however. "Anyways, I would love to join you and Mr. Cyan Fever upstairs-"

"Cyan Fever! You're a racket-"

"-but I'm taking the pod tonight to see some of my buddies."

"Listen, I was joking before, but the guy isn't some reality TV star. He's the President of the United States for fuck sake. Why don't you-"

"Don't swear at me."

"Listen, I'm sorry, but you gotta at least shake his hand or something come on-"

MOQ unplugged her implant and tossed it aside. She didn't tell Steve how long she'd be gone, or where she was going. All she knew was that she desperately in need of a vacation. She looked over her shoulder as she was on her way out. After a moment's hesitation, she grabbed her latte, took one last sip, and tossed it into the incinerator.
--

Her pod buzzed quietly as it pulled into the hangar, pink lights signaling for passersby to step back. Almost comically, the top of the ship screwed off, dramatic steam unfurling in its wake. In true pop fashion, MOQ emerged from the egg-shaped ship, her bright pink exosuit contrasting curiously with the dank station. A pair of cat-eye aviators shimmered in the dark.

"Your entertainer has arrived."

MOQ leaped off the platform, slipping into the Crimson as her teardrop of a ship disappeared into the night.

Joint Post - Sammy and Lumeus

The Elemental offered Lumeus a faint smile even as she found herself suddenly hoping that the others wouldn’t be too far behind. It wasn’t that there was anything wrong with him, persae, just that he (or rather, it) like many truly ancient and powerful beings, possessed something of an aloof detachment to reality that, at best, she found impossible to relate to and, at worst, she found distinctly irritating. There were many reasons she dealt with her own kind only sparingly and Lumeus was, perhaps, the closest thing the Collective had to offer. Sammy steeled herself as she considered his remark, you couldn’t go too far wrong with nodding, smiling and small talk.

“I’m not one to turn down an adventure across the Multiverse, even if the method of transportation differs a little from what I’m used to,” she smiled, glancing once again at their immediate surroundings. “What brings you here?”

"One of the places this group travels to is... well..." Lumeus seemed to be looking past Sammy, like someone lost in thought, or time. "The events may turn out more favorably if I am there. Maybe."

Sammy studied the planes of Lumeus’ face intently for a moment before nodding faintly to herself, pitching her voice for him alone despite their close proximity. “And the rest of them? What role do they play in your quest?”

Lumeus knit his brow in confusion for a moment, but the moment passed quickly. "They are the quest." Lumeus smiled more with this eyes than his lips. "My quest anyway. The life of an individual is far more interesting to me than any destination."

The Elemental nodded in way of understanding, apparently well satisfied with the answer, her features lighting up in a smile when, as if on cue, the tell tale sounds of standard Collective ruckus began to reach them. “On that front, Lumeus, I truly couldn’t agree with you more.”

Road trips were not normally Forge's thing. To be fair, during his formative years, most of the travelling he'd done with friends had involved horses, the occasional boat, and groups of hostile people armed with sharpened metal implements waiting for you at the far end. That wasn't to say that he didn't travel - in fact, since meeting Sammy and falling in with the Collective, he'd been to more worlds than he could count. The Elemental attracted her fair share of odd companions wherever they went, and there were innumerable travelling performers, merchants and wanderers of varying species with whom they'd spent their share of days simply going from place to place and taking part in different things.

This however, was a different animal entirely.

When Rick had announced the plan that he and Palacia had cooked up, to cram a number of Collectivites onto his ship and head off on a cross-multiversal jolly, Forge had almost laughed. It was when he realised that their newest Staff member was serious that the little voice at the base of his skull had started to mutter concerns. It wasn't that he didn't trust their members in general; more that herding cats was an impossible task at the best of times, and one that was made no easier when those cats had an array of super-destructive weapons and abilities, and you were keeping them in an enclosed space. In the end he'd managed to downgrade the feeling from 'looming dread' to 'vague discomfort', something he'd been steadily getting better at. If Rick could deal with his homicidal ship on a daily basis, then surely managing a handful of their member base couldn't go spectacularly awry. It made things easier that Sammy had wanted to go; she'd lingered on the decision, debating - as always - whether it was the best choice for others, even when her nature must have been tugging at her to seize the opportunity. How long had it been since she'd left the Ark on an adventure, he'd pointed out, a position she'd conceded with only slight reluctance. With her aboard, there was almost nothing that could go wrong (though he maintained a healthy caution when it came to brisket-related endeavours). More to the point, being out there in the worlds would be good for her. That made it a win all round.

As usual, things hadn't been that simple. The itch hadn't started until he was alone in the Staff room, looking around at the mostly-empty space and picturing an extended time knocking around in the quiet mostly on his own, save for those rare occasions where Darkblade and his legion of dwarves came marauding through. Before heading off to make some Ark-related preparations for her absence Sammy had made a comment about his missing out. Road trips were fun, she'd insisted, and he didn't dislike people nearly as much as he pretended. As always he'd snorted, given her a smile and insisted that he was just fine with a bit of extended peace and quiet - only, thrown into the moment, it turned out he wasn't. The more he thought about it, the more his feet itched to tread somewhere different. Granted, there would be more people along than their usual wandering, but would it really be that bad? In the end the decision had taken him two false-starts and a short, muttered monologue that the Ark chose not to respond to, before the swordsman made a quick trip to his own office to round up the meagre go-bag of gear he'd need to take with him, along with the shortswords he couldn't bear to leave behind.

As a result of his dithering Forge barely turned up in time for the Crimson opening up to its new passengers, tagging on to the tail end of the group and skirting the press of bodies bodies until he was clear of what was shaping up to be an excited scramble for bunks. He detoured away from the obvious sleeping areas, peeling off along a quiet corridor and past a series of internal cameras that swivelled ominously to watch his movements, before finding a quiet nook in which to stash his gear until later. Habits of a lifetime, right? With his possessions securely (albeit furtively) stored, the swordsman backtracked until he found what looked to be the common area, poking his head into the room briefly before the rest of him followed. Forge gave Lumeus a nod - unusual, to see the angel travelling by something as mundane as mortal transport, but then unusual was his buzzword - and shot Sammy a sheepish "I'm surprised that I turned up, too" look, before quietly taking up position against the wall in as close to a casual manner as he could.

"Hello, this is- WHAT!? The spaceship-thing is open!? Fetch me now Mr. Dapps!" said a man in a mask and his "awesomely fancy suit" as he rose up from the rotating desk chair in what some may see as "shock" or maybe by others as "excitement". Whatever it is, he is eager not to miss the trip. "Excuse me, but I think you might be late by half a millisecond." replied the entity named "Sir Dapps Jokermann" at the other side of the phone. "Whatever the time, keep yourself dandy-looking and mind sipping some burgundy."; that calm sentence from Dapps, and the accursed sound of an abruptly ended call made Omega L more tense.

Anyways, he decided to just walk out the automatic hinge door of his "Ultimate Office" and race towards the dining area where a plentiful of subordinate higher-ups await for him at an abnormally large table fitting for maybe.... fifty life-sized men. He walked a fast pace towards the only vacant chair, pulled it towards him and moved himself in a way that he sits on the chair after the millisecond of pulling the chair at a "satisfying distance". He then rang the bell assigned to his seat and called out to the chef " Tony! One burgundy wine and a triple-cheese sandwich please!" as he then waited for half a minute. Then there goes Chef Tony, a fat chef with green skin and a reptilian face that wields an ear-to-ear length maw filled with razor sharp teeth, carrying his "grand meal" of a wine glass of burgundy wine and his "masterfully-made" three-cheese sandwich in a nice platter and tray. The food is then served to the now maskless Omega L who proceeds to eat the sandwich in a seemingly-formal manner with a mix of hurriedness. Once finished eating, he consumes the drink in a single heavy sip before wiping his mouth with an already-set napkin and leaving the dining room with a hurry, not forgetting to wave his underlings goodbye.

Afterall, he already took a nice bath and brushed his teeth prior to that so he decides to immediately waste minutes to wind his may through the seemingly chaotic complex before exiting the door and meeting a seemingly vintage car (which in fact is a facade of a unique all-purpose vehicle made by one of his smartest sub-comrades). In that car, a skeleton in a dandy attire (complete with bow tie, cane and top hat) calls out to him with the words "Sir! Would you mind calling the so-called host with your 'inter-dimensional cross-platform contact cellphone' ?". The response is of course dialling at a number which he believes is Rick's." He then decides to leave a voice message which would say " Hello, I am currently driving to some sort of route rumored to lead to you. Please send a voice message that would tell me the exact location of the ship as a reply? If done, we would then triangulate that location so we could successfully teleport there. I will not waste my Ex$70,000 for nothing!"

That done, and Professor Quartex, an green-skinned entity with a cube for his head (and yellow bar-shaped eyes) and donning a corporate business attire, went ahead to sit beside the driver's seat before Omega L sits at the back. Dapps then revvs up the engine before beginning a smooth drive. Afterall, when the location is revealed, Q can just type in the controls for triangulation and teleportation to reach there in a split second.

Nay sat in a quiet corner of the hangar, set apart from most of the group already assembled to board the uncooperative ship. Although she had been a member of the Collective for quite some time she rarely socialised. She liked to blame her lack of time and her busy schedule, but deep down she knew that these were just excuses. Truthfully she was just terribly shy until she properly got to know people but she had been gutted to miss out on the Halloween festivities, especially after hearing about certain events afterwards. She knew a few members to nod to in passing but that was about it. So when she had overheard The Crimson blabbing rather loudly about a planned Collective road trip she had decided to bite the bullet and tag along to try and get to know a few of her fellow members a bit more.

Once the ship actually opened it's doors, Nay waited for all the other gathered members to board before quietly slipping aboard behind them. She stopped just inside the entrance and glanced around trying to decide which direction to head in first. There were no signs pointing to specific areas of the ship and upon realising that she had expected that she gave herself a mental kick. It was a private vessel, not a public one designed for tourists on some sort of cruise. Rick could probably navigate the entire thing blindfolded, there was no need for signs!

From the excited chatter around her, it seemed most people had wanted to claim a room first so she shrugged and headed down the corridor that majority of the travellers had taken. After travelling down an impossibly long corridor (seriously, was this the bloody T.A.R.D.I.S?) and passing several rooms that were already occupied, she finally found an empty room. There was a cramped bathroom through a door just to the left of the entrance, two single beds and a large viewing window directly opposite which currently just showed the metal walls of the hangar. With a small smile Nay dropped her suitcase onto the bed furthest from the door and by default closest to the window and kneeled onto the bed to look out. She couldn't wait to be on the way with plenty to see.

Deciding to go and explore the rest of the ship now she was no longer weighed down by a case that was almost bigger than her, Nay left her room deliberately leaving the door open in the hopes of gaining a room mate and headed back the way she had come. She wandered down different corridors, simply taking in the atmospere and not really heading in any specific direction until she found the common area. Upon noticing that a few members were already gathered, Nay almost turned around and walked straight back out. Then she remembered her whole reason for coming on this trip, took a deep breath and entered the room properly. Smiling at any members that caught her eye, she took a seat in the corner by another big window, still not confident enough to just plonk herself right in the group.

Rick smirked and gave Palacia a thumbs up, after weeks spent touring the Majestic galaxy both men had met an alien pilot during a card game at a strange planet where every citizen was broadcasting their existence to the entire colonized galaxy. This pilot, Kirble, introduced the duo to the potent plant grenwurm, he had even been kind enough to give them special hand crafted pipes to partake of the spikey purple leafs. Rick’s and Palacia’s stash had been running low and Rick couldn’t fathom going through the entire road trip sober.

“Aright, Pally, you know where your room is, I’m going to go make sure we take off and then I’ll go brief this herd of cats on what’s what,” with that said Rick gave Palacia a pat on the back and made his way into the Crimson.

“Why are there people inside me, Rick,” Crimson’s voice echoed inside Rick’s head thanks to one of the many implants added to his body after the incident.

“Are you really asking me that?” Rick asked.

“Did I stutter?” Crimson asked in her most cooing voice.

“Don’t get sassy with me, Crim, you were the one that blabbed to anyone who came within earshot, and don’t think I didn’t see the posts on the Ark information board, I know you’re CrimsonQueen76,” Rick shot back as he pressed his hand on the security panel that unlocked the door to the bridge of the ship.

Crimson didn’t say anything back for a few seconds as she quickly deleted all the post history of CrimsonQueen76.

As the door slid open it revealed the bridge and what amounted to the entire crew of the Crimson, Benjie, Rick’s dog who had been transformed into a bipedal, talking, weapons expert and Kiri, a cat from the planet Silva that piloted the ship and handled the repairs.

“Rick!”

“Hey you two, everything ready?”

Kiri gave a thumbs up as she went about pressing buttons, turning knobs, and flicking switches, the Crimson making a strange bleeps and bloops after every input from Kiri.

“Yes! Crimmy is almost ready to go and I set up the food buffet at the lounge, it’s all meat!” Benjie’s tail wagged with gusto as he stood on his chair to explain all of this to Rick.

“Benjie, god damn it, how much matter gro did you use?” Rick gave the pup a stern look, Benjie had a history of wasting the incredible rare matter gro that allowed Crimson to print any item she had scanned on food, and one time on sixty cushions for a pillow fort.

“He used 25%, but I let him,” Crimson interjected.

“You let him?”

“She let me, it’s okay, Rick!” Benjie grinned, perfectly happy with that explanation.

“My babies were hungry, Rick, and I couldn’t have all these strangers walk into me and not have a hot meal ready, how would that reflect on me?!”

“Oh my god, whatever, fine, but this is coming out of your allowance, Benjie, now let Kiri finish up and let’s go brief these people,” Rick snapped his fingers and pointed out the door as Benjie climbed down his chair and walked across the bridge and out the door in a huff.

“Kiri, come join us after you launched and set the course, I can’ be left alone with these people,” Kiri laughed and gave Rick a thumbs up without turning, completely focused on her task.

Benjie walked in front of Rick all the way to the lounge, were he abruptly stopped once he noticed just how large the group of strangers was, deciding instead to wait for Rick to catch up.

“Move….Benjie, move, no, don’t just take two steps forwards get out of the way- thank you, jesus,” Benjie elbowed Rick on the leg as he passed Benjie by and walked into the lounge.

“Alright, everyone, welcome to the Crimson!” Rick held his arms wide as Crimson’s holographic sphere appeared next to him, which, surprisingly, was red.

“I don’t know about welcome-“

“Quiet, Crim, anyway, as you all know we are going to head out on quite the adventure through the multiverse, some places we have planned are a planet that is a whole city, all the damn way to the core, and my personal favorite, an uncharted paradise where the crabs are the size of an elephant,” At this point Crimson’s sphere disappeared and was replaced with a graphic showing the size difference between a crab, a man, and an elephant.

“And let me tell ya, those crab legs are succulent, one should be enough to feed all of us, anyway, I know I asked some of you to give us an interesting and exotic location, and we will get to those, but first we will stop in Wales, Earth,” Rick looked around the room until he spotted the fire elf quietly seated by a corner and pointed to her,” Our very own Nay will be showing us around, but I want to let everyone know that we should definitely take this chance to pick up food and snacks, because those will not be provided….apart from that incredibly large buffet of meat back there in the mess hall,” Rick eyes narrowed as he could see the table filled with dozens of different steaks, meat balls, stir frys, choice cuts, sausages, and Benjie’s personal favorite, tripe tacos.

Rick waved his hand at Crimson, who took that as a signal to raise Rick’s personal armchair, which Rick then proceeded to sit on.

“Alright, I guess we should take some time to learn about our destination while we eat, so go grab a plate and then Nay can stand in the middle and tell us what exactly is so fascinating about Wales that we just have to go there,” Rick turned to Benjie and pointed to the table filled with meat and then held up two fingers, Benjie nodded and shot off to the mess hall.

“Oh, that’s Benjie, one half of my second in command, if he asks for food please don’t feed him, otherwise he won’t leave you alone.”

"God, this color is terrible. And that rug. It's no wonder he's alone."

MOQ was fifteen minutes into rearranging her room, which was in desperate need of a makeover, when she heard the scampering outside her door. She peered into the hallway, catching Benjie in her peripheral, just disappearing behind the corner, carrying something that smelled awfully like sausage. Then again, the whole ship stank of meatballs, for some reason.

In her search for the source of the smell, MOQ spotted a clock at the end of the hall, a hologram resembling a grandfather clock riddled with static.

"Oh am I terribly late," the starlet muttered to herself. She sighed thinking about the state of her quarters, but Rick's awful taste would have to do for now. There was a crowd to conquer in the next room.

As she made her way to the front, MOQ smoothed out her wrinkled suit. It had been quite some time since she had worn it. Clothes like hers only existed on Argontini; her armor was one of a kind, specifically designed to mimic whatever form she decided to take. Her aviators clung to her collar. Like most things in her wardrobe, they were a gift from Earth. If one good thing was gained from her leaving her planet, it was style.

"Sorry I'm late. I was busy freshening up."

MOQ took a seat next to Forge. "Nice shoes. Hey, what are we doing?"

[Message Not Sent. Reason: Regional Connection Tower temporarily shut down.]

"Very funny...." replied the disgruntled Omega at the phone. How could it even send an error message when the connection tower itself shut down? Whatever it is, Professor Quartex might already know why. But that is not the problem since the ship is now at view.

"Dapps, Q, check the RCT now. Farewell and see you anytime." are the last words of Omega L before the two nodded in reply. He then snaps his fingers, a signal for Dapps to make the car's hood open itself rapidly as the masked-and-suited boss then flies out through the opened hood and flying towards the ship's direction while ascending a bit upwards and dashing down like a peregrine falcon towards just a few meters away from the front of the entrance, caring not to cause damage. He then takes a harsh landing at the ground, in a deep kneeling position as his momentum leads him further forward until he is directly in front of the entrance. He then rushes in with the help of some random gadget secretly installed at his feet to prevent collision with anyone who might accidentally hit him. Once inside, he disposes of the used up gizmo at the nearest place suitable for trash before simply exploring the place. Of course, he must travel to some sort of corridor and find his room. That is what some random mook of his been talking about in a past discussion about the topic "How to do a Nice Space Trip" which also reminds him of when some incompetent took hold of a plane and winded up with a crashlanding.

But for now, that is not going to be the problem. Since he is already in the ship, a room is now all he needs. He decides to search the place for a suitably empty room, not minding what he believes is the horrible stench of not-so-leftover meat. Maybe he might meet up with someone and ask around.

While waiting for Rick to arrive, Nay had perused the room from her spot in the corner, she was hungry but had wrinkled her nose in distaste. As a vegetarian the sight of all that meat made her feel slightly nauseous. There didn’t seem to be any alternatives either.

Her attention snapped to the doorway on Rick’s arrival and she listened to his welcome speech with interest. Having lived a fairly sheltered life, she was mostly unaware of what lay beyond her own planet and the Ark. Of course she knew the multiverse existed but was totally unaware it was so vast.

A look that could only be described as “deer in the headlights” crossed Nay’s face and the tips of her ears turned bright red when Rick pointed her out, she really hated being the centre of attention. Casting the buffet another look of distaste as Rick pointed it out for anyone that had missed it, though Nay wasn’t sure anyone could miss what was practically a banquet, she made a mental note to pick up as much food as was physically possible when they stopped.

She swallowed thickly as attention was once again brought to her and stood awkwardly but didn’t move to the centre of the room, “I-I’d rather speak from here thanks.” She spoke confidently, but the tips of her ears once again betrayed her embarrassment. “Originally I was going to suggest we visit Cardiff Castle, it’s pretty interesting, but when I heard what everyone else had planned I realised that you weren’t exactly looking for museum trips.”

“Damn right,” Rick agreed as Benjie brought two plates filled with sausages and steaks and handed one to Rick.

A nervous cough escaped and she began to twist the skirt of her dress with her hands, “Then I remembered hearing something strange about one of the old coal mines. It was being used as a tourist attraction, like offering tours underground. Then a few months ago they closed it suddenly. The human tour guides reported damage to some of the deeper tunnels that wasn’t there before, damage that couldn’t be explained away by age, something definitely caused it but they don’t know what. My cousin told me that a dragon has taken up residence in there,” She gave a small shrug, “I figured checking that out would be more interesting than a museum.” Her skirt was hopelessly creased by this point, but her hands still clutched at it convulsively as she waited.

“Ah mahne?” Rick asked as he chewed a large chunk of spiced sausage, swallowed, and bit on another one,” you want to take us to a mine on Earth? Because there might be a dragon?!”

Rick turned his head slightly to give Palacia a look of worry, before turning back to look at the fire elf who looked incredibly uncomfortable.

“Alright…..alright, fuck it, might as well,” Rick reached for his communicator and called Kiri,” Alright, Kiri, take us to the location Nay sent you, looks like we are going to fucking Wales.”

“Really? I thought that was a joke? Benjie said it was a joke suggestion, can’t we go to the-”

“That’s enough, Kiri, we can all hear you-”

“I mean Wales? Really? We got some interesting places we can go, I just need to change our warp destination-”

“KIRI!.....Kiri, to Nay’s destination, please,” Rick ended the call, unable to meet Nay’s eyes.

“So, anyone seen any fun movies?”

The blush spread steadily from the tips of Nay’s ears to cover her entire face as she listened to the conversation and as it spread a frown gradually overtook her features. She finally let go of her dress to clench her fists at her sides, “Look, if you really think it’s a stupid suggestion just forget it! But for your information my cousin is rarely wrong.”

Rick had to fight the urge to cackle as the only evidence Nay could provide for a dragon hiding in a mine was her cousin’s word.

Several sparks escaped her hands, which seemed to jerk her back to her senses and her eyes widened almost comically as she clapped her hands to her mouth. “I’m sorry! Sometimes my mouth runs away from me, just… Go wherever everyone wants to go.” She bit her lip and sat back down, trying not to draw any more attention to herself.

Rick waved Nay’s suggestion away,” It’s fine, we are actually on the way already, Crimson flies quiet,” the red sphere next to Rick turned into a thumbs up sign.

“And the light ever be in my favor,” Palacia chortled at his crappy joke. Indeed, Rick and Palacia had as of late been making many many trips in Crim. Mostly exploring and and visiting the infinite vista’s of the multiverses. So their preferences were fairly well known between each other. Though he did want to drop off his Grenwurm and the varying amount of not-stolen-alcohol and leaf he’d acquired from his homeworld, in the small quarters he’d recently come to calling his own within the ship. He much liked that, he’d never been one to have or want quarters, but having them now felt good. It’d also been a long time since he’d had good companionship, something he found himself overly enjoying. Reminded him of the academy days and the trips he’d taken with his friend, good memories, even if they were nearly a thousand years old. Perfect memory, a perk of being a Soulmancer. His mind returning to the present he moved throughout the ship, having learned his way around some time ago it didn’t take him long to reach his humble quarters. He spent a period of time dropping off his supply of drugs and alcohol, retrieving it all from his outwardly small, but infinite dimension bag.

After he’d finished he made his way back through the ship to the briefing room, They had a good line up, good variety, and more importantly they’d pulled in a good range of members. Palacia nodded, happy with the turn out, especially with some of the older and more quiet members of the Ark. He looked, ever hungry, towards the table full of food and found dish that suited him rather well. Rigatoni with meatballs, one of his favorites, suppose he had Benjie to thank for that one. He’d found good companionship with the talking dog and had many good conversations with him during the longer flights. Overall, Rick and Palacia’s adventures had, so far, been very successful and quite enjoyable.

It sounded like this trip would be something certainly worth added to the Animus’ data banks.

MOQ took a seat next to Forge. "Nice shoes. Hey, what are we doing?"
The singer and swordsman engaged in a duel of awkward silence, the former blinking twice to elicit a response, pursing her lips slightly in an exaggerated yet passive impatience, and the latter forming the words in his head and translating them into inaudible grunts. Needless to say, intelligible communication never occurred to them. After a second of evasive glances, MOQ offered the knight a prim smile and glanced around the room. Everyone seemed too fixated on Rick’s red ball to notice she had entered. Except for Palacia, naturally, who was stuffing his face with meatballs and rigatoni, picking it apart like a damn animal.

After shooting him an odd look, MOQ gestured towards the middle of the room, mouthing her question to him. He took notice, he’d seen MOQ a few times in the Ark. Catching a few of her performances, he enjoyed them enough, held a few minor conversations with her about her music. Was nice seeing that she’d taken interest in the trip and had joined in the fun. Taking her meaning, he pointed a tomato-stained finger towards Nay. He swallowed his mouthful of rigatoni and mouthed back an answer.

MOQ cocked her head to the side, before nodding enthusiastically. The singer crossed her legs and made it exorbitantly clear she was giving Nay her full attention. One of Mother’s many lessons was respecting the culture of your company and that some species valued certain gestures more than others. It was quite whimsical; most of the Icon’s advice involved spiritual and chemical reasoning beyond her understanding, but the matriarch’s wisdom had never failed her before.

So absorbed was she in the lessons of the Icon that she blanked out on the greater portion of the elf’s presentation. She was displeased to return to what seemed to be a spat between the ship captain and his communication device. Nay didn’t seem to be having a good time, either.

Palacia scoffed, not at Nay’s destination, but at the rather poor timing of it all. He hated this kind of tension, making it quite understandable why he preferred much much smaller groups. Though that was why he was currently stuffing his face, he was attempting to ignore... Well, this. Though, with Rick’s concerned glance, he sighed. He broke the silence with a loud boisterous laugh, “Then we be Dragon Hunters! Eh?” He laughed off the tension of the room.

He moved from the food table to a seating, “We gotta start somewhere, and there ain’t nothing like a good contrast to balance it out!” He exchanged a glance with Rick, one Rick knew all too well. MOQ chimed in, hoping to smooth the room's rough edges.

“Yeah! Personally, I think going to… Wales… is a great idea. You know we were just there on tour. Earth, I mean. The entire time I was performing there I was thinking, man! wouldn’t it be great to take a day off and see the sites?”

Now entering Earth’s atmosphere…now entering Wales airspace…now landing in Pontypandy...landed.

Rick had been busy carefully experiencing every savory and delectable flavor designed by the matter gro instant creator, a very expensive addition to the ship that was meant to be used for creating parts for the ship in case of an emergency, but was mostly used by Benjie and Kiri for food and toys. As much as it annoyed Rick how the two, and only, members of his crew wasted the matter gro, it did make incredibly delicious food. Once the announcement that they had landed came through the speakers of the ship, Rick became painfully aware that others were sitting nearby. The adventurer had become too accustom to the familiarity of his own ship that he forgot to act civilized when strangers came into his ship. Making it worse the few that weren’t strangers were the head staff of the Collective Ark, who didn’t look all that impressed with the way Rick was handling things so far.

“Ahem, now that we have all eaten-“

“Initiating camouflage protocol…scanning…Dentist office.”

“Now no one will bother getting close to Crimmy,” Kiri said over the P.A. system.

Rick stood, not bothering to really look anyone in the eye, mostly looking just passed them or at their forehead, a tactic to keep him from feeling embarrassment.

“So, we just landed, uh, Nay has her dragon we are going to go check out hiding away in a “mine” according to her friend who is always right,” Rick said sarcastically, before noticing Nay clenching her fists again,” but, uh, we are going to make a quick stop at a local store, pick up some food, I suggest you all do the same,” Rick reached for his communicator,” Kirir, what kind of weather are we dealing with?”

“It’s…snowing!” Kiri answered excitedly, it was very rare for the group to go anywhere when it was snowing.

Benjie heard snowing and ran from the meat banquet to his locker, were the fluffy, cream colored pup put on his camo winter jacket, pants, and boots, running back into the lounge area with a strap and coat for Rick. The adventurer put on the strap and then the thick leather coat, bending down to pick up Benjie and attach him to the strap. Once everything was set up Benjie was strapped front facing on Rick’s chest, giving the group a wave and a smile. Kiri came into the lounge as well, already dressed and with a strap of her own, which she promptly handed to Palacia.

“All right everyone, two of the hover craft have been transformed into range rovers, so pick one because it’s time to get this show on the road!”

"No more need to search a room at this moment." said Omega L after a successful navigation in his first quest to find his room. Here, he brought his baggage into the room after swinging open the door. He then marches in and sees a substandard house which reminds him of his poorer underlings that became rich all just because of serving him. That is when the ship lifts off towards the place.

He tries to keep his confidence in spite of the foreign atmosphere as he begins to enter the room and fix in his respective items into the room's respective places; clothes into the wardrobe, weapons and gizmos into the chest, work-stuff into the desk and etc. Afterall, he is still very full from the good food he ate so maybe, he can spend some time staying in the room and managing some inside-business.

And about inside-business, he turns on his inter-dimensional cross-platform communication phone (will be called IDCPCP) and calls his underlings.

"Hello Dapps, how is the MCT?"
"Infested by Snakerats. There is a massive swarm of them so we have to call Dante to burn them down. Currently, Dr. Entropy is busy fixing the thing."
Momentary silence.... And a stoic "OK" then follows.
"Anyways sire, any announcement on the destination?"
"Wales" replied Omega L
"Wow. I used to visit that place when I was still a human there."
"I know. Anyways, I have charge my phone. Bye."
"Farewell"
[Call Ended]

Now he manages things a little more in his room and that is when the ship lands. Upon announcement that the ship has landed, he casually takes his things, having become used to the atmosphere of the room alone, and then walks his way from the corridor to the door where he came in from. He then independently steps out of the place, wondering about where exactly the rovers Rick mentioned are, as he seems to be unaffected by the snow. He silently stands in place, looking around the area and thinking hard on who he should summon for the adventure in Wales.

The elemental listened to Nay's explanation of their first destination and offered the fire-elf a reassuring smile. She happened to quite like Earth, the parts of it that weren't horribly over-crowded and overly polluted, at least. The talk of a mine, however, made her shift uneasily in her seat and she glanced briefly in Forge's direction as the Four began to shift in reaction to her sudden discomfort. Their last underground explorations had proved to be beyond an unpleasant experience for her. Then, of course, there was a potential dragon. Would it be the fire breathing kind? She could already feel Fire purring at the thought and that was not a good sign. Not a good sign at all. Nay hadn't explained whether they were simply going to visit the dragon or whether they were meant to bring an end to it. Either way, Sammy couldn't guarantee that, given enough leeway, Fire wouldn't take it upon itself to side with the creature. And there was Rick thinking Wales was too safe and boring a destination.

Sammy took a few, steadying breaths as the ship began to enter the Earth's atmosphere and then, as it neared landing, moved to quietly stand beside Forge, drawing some leveling strength from his proximity and already incredibly grateful that he'd made the decision to join the party. For a while, she was content to simply stand in silence as the others milled about and pressed their faces excitedly against the windows as Earth and, indeed, Wales grew ever closer.

"Let's hope the people of Wales just see a bunch of nerds playing dress up," Sammy murmured to Forge in a low voice. "And not a bunch of extra-terrestrial beings here to visit a dragon. Earthlings can be a bit... trigger happy. Or, y'know, they really like putting things they don't understand in cages and prodding them with sharp objects. I can't see that ending well for anyone."

Sammy turned slowly, a smile blossoming as she watched the large, white flakes eddying and whirling across the landscape beyond. Water. Water could certainly work and, as though answering some sort of call, the Elemental's eyes began to shift and change. Looking very much as though a sudden weight had been lifted from her shoulders, Sammy glanced back at Forge, eerily pale eyes full of an almost child-like enthusiasm as a knee length and quite bulky coat materialised over the top of her current attire, along with a bobble hat and a cozy looking scarf.

"Well, some of us should at least make an effort to blend in. Maybe they'll think I'm their one their... teachers or something," she murmured before calling out to no one in particular "Last one to throw a snowball has to run behind the cars!"

Forge listened to Nay give then a run-down on her chosen location, pausing only briefly to engage in a confused, non-verbal discussion with MOQ. As one of their members he was aware of her peripherally, in as much as one could only be partially aware of a person whose life seemed entirely composed of bright colours and electronic light shows, but they were hardly what anyone would consider close. With the best intentions in the world, their talking to one another was like a bird holding a conversation with a fish: they were never going to share a frame of reference.

The swordsman turned his attention back to the conversation. Wales didn't seem so bad; he wasn't intimately familiar with Earth, but it was similar enough to his home realm (and, indeed, a vast chunk of the rest of the multiverse) that he wasn't unduly concerned. It was the mention of the mine, however, that sent the first trill of unease spiralling through his gut, and he caught the look Sammy sent his way from across the room. Neither of them was particularly fond of the notion of going back underground after their previous foray, but it had been a special kind of unbearable for her. Compounding it was the announcement that there would be a dragon - because, of course, why wouldn't there be? - and for a moment Forge wondered if there was any way he and the Elemental could be elsewhere for this particular pit stop, even as he dismissed the notion. Stand idly on the sidelines while the others were sent into a dragon's cave? It wasn't in her. Most likely it wasn't in him, either.

The swordsman had started frowning at the main table as soon as the concerns had crossed his mind (as if the table had anything to do with the decision) and he was still staring it into submission when he felt Sammy draw up close to him. Forge gave her a glance, following the lines of her face briefly before shifting his stance a fraction until his shoulder brushed against hers.

Sammy wrote:"Let's hope the people of Wales just see a bunch of nerds playing dress up," Sammy murmured to Forge in a low voice. "And not a bunch of extra-terrestrial beings here to visit a dragon. Earthlings can be a bit... trigger happy. Or, y'know, they really like putting things they don't understand in cages and prodding them with sharp objects. I can't see that ending well for anyone."

Forge gave a quiet snort.
"I'm pretty sure you'd manage to befriend them regardless," he told her, voice pitched so that only she would hear. "We'd all be sitting down to tea and cake with the baying mob, wondering how we got there and where the pitchforks went."

Rick wrote:“It’s…snowing!” Kiri answered excitedly, it was very rare for the group to go anywhere when it was snowing.

He blinked, instinctively mirroring the Elemental as they both turned to look at the heavy flakes flitting past the window. Now this was familiar. When was the last time he'd seen snow? The sight rattled around the jagged edges in his memory, and despite his concerns, the Swordsman felt lighter for it. He glanced at Sammy in time to catch the shift in her - imagined, maybe, that he could feel it from afar, like the prickle of drizzle across the skin of his forearms - and found himself smiling in response. In the wake of her snowball decree Forge looked around at their companions and shrugged, gesturing at the Elemental's thoroughly padded form. "You heard the lady," He called. "Better get out there quick, like."
