FINALLY finished The Golden Compass, just took...frigging months. Was well written and paced enjoyed it all the way and Iorek Byrnison is just an awesome, lovable character. But by the Emperor it's a bloody and gory book for a children's story.

Now I'm beginning the sequel- The Subtle Knife.

Just finished Anarch by Dan Abnett the latest Gaunt's Ghosts novel and it was so very good. More than made up for the annoying cliffhanger at the end of the last one!

Utvandrarna (The Emigrants) by Vilhelm Moberg. Haven't gotten very far but I find it very interesting and extremely.. harsh but yet very involving? I think it will make me cry multiple times. :P Not sure how well it would translate though.

I'm reading the newest Ciaphas Cain omnibus which is just a series I'm in love with now, it's just so fun and full of interesting quirky characters. Also reading The Imaginary Lives of James Poneke for my course, which I'm enjoying too.

I've started reading "The girl with the dragon tattoo" by Stieg Larsson.

I've watched the swedish movies and loved them. Couldn't watch the american remake. But as much as I usually detest reading real life mysteries, I'm pretty into this book :)

I really like The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Haven't been able to finish the second book, for whatever reason.

Currently reading B is for Burglar by Sue Grafton.
