Taroga

Taroga strangely didn't take offense to his sister's suggestion that he might have killed Onam. She was probably right, but he was sure he would've been able to hold himself back from doing so. Unnecessary deaths tended to ruin the vibe on road trips. Or space trips in their current sense. He had been sure that if anyone had gotten into a fight while they were on the ship he would've been the first one. Perhaps some of his ways were starting to rub off on his sister. He was interested in seeing how badly this would turn out.

Taroga held back a laugh at the fighter's first true display of an attack. He would've deserved it but he remembered how humbled he felt when none of his attacks did anything to his opponent. His first fight with Namori and then later with the others against Khol. Both defeats had made stronger. Not just physically but spiritually as well. If they were lucky the same would be said for Onam here. Otherwise it'd be pointless for him to continue his journey as a warrior.

He smiled at his sister's display of power in return and noticed the changes she made to the Commander's technique. "Did anyone else enjoy watching that?"

Namori

Namori couldn't understand why Onam had such difficulty with using ki. Like Sakuranbo had said it was pretty much the basics. Even he had managed to learn it as a child and it didn't come as naturally to humans as it did Saiyans. But it was strange to him that Onam had this kind of power without the basic ability to use ki. He could feel a different kind of energy emanating from him in his fits of anger. It had a similarity to Chiaotzu, but was different as well. Stronger, but darker as well.

It was clear even before the fighting started who would win this. With the way things had started it was inevitable for a fight to break out. Namori just wouldn't have guessed that it'd be so soon or that Sakuranbo would have been the one to start it. He took note of her Spirit Ball Crush technique and immediately realized it was a combination of Yamcha's Spirit Ball technique and he believed to be one of Raditz's. It was also fairly similar to the technique he had originally wanted to make before the Saiyan invasion. But seeing the combination of two techniques did inspire him even more.

Kures watched this little display, noting that while she sensed power in the Earthling he wasn’t using ki at all. It was as if he were using sheer force of will to manifest an effect, very similar to Khol’s invisible punches. It was different, as it sought to press down upon the target, keep them pinned to the ground. Though the gap between the Earthling and her kin was such that didn’t really matter, she instead looked to Khol for some sort of reaction.

Khol’s eyes narrowed, well this was going to be a headache to say the least. He had some quite irksome companions, just itching to goad each other into fights. True, he basically fought every one he had come across before Earth. Reminded him he never did have a proper fight with Namori nor Yuki, excluding that time that the Star Child had made short work of Namori and Raditz’s remaining team members. Noting he’d actually had more fights with his sister than the pair of them combined, and he’d been around them for a lot longer.

Noting in passing that it seemed indeed that the Earthling had no clue what ki was let alone how to properly harness it. True, how many people at the budokai had actually a grasp on ki? The Turtle School, Piccolo, Yuki, Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, the rest showed martial prowess. Instinctively tapping into their ki to empower their actions, but that wasn’t mastery, it wasn’t even the basics when it came to ki control.

Though they had something else in their favour of this lack of talent, and as much as some had scoffed at it’s application. Khol understood it’s value. Projecting sheer force without ki, at least not in the traditional sense of the word. For he was pretty sure all forms of ability tapped into one’s inner power, it was much more potent than the kiai. At least it could be, as it required no physical action to project the force they unleashed. It could be projected from range, and was like the kiai invisible to the senses even that strange one that felt ki.

The fact that Sakuranbo had braced before taking it was likely a smart decision, as from the lack of anything that gave away an attack was coming she’d have been blindsided. Well aside from the cocky attitude, and the darkening of veins across their forehead, which wouldn’t help determine how an attack was coming. Her own technique made him smirk, pilfering ideas from Raditz and Yamcha, there was a joke there somewhere. He wasn’t a fan of techniques that limited his opponents, but then he was looking for a challenge as much as a victory, if not more so.

Though it was time to bring an end to this, regardless of the point, he rather not waste a senzu bean getting Bulma’s assistant back onto his feet. So he moved, his hand dancing across a console. Suddenly the gravity grew heavier, he noted in passing this was probably the worst way he could end this. The Earthlings weren’t ready for such a shift, heck even the Saiyans weren’t ready, as he wasn’t dialling it to a number they’d be comfortable with. His heart raced, he could feel a dull ache in his tail. Good, Bulma had outdone herself, he dialled it back though to just twice earth’s gravity.

“I think that answers why I was so excited, just had to test it. But I suppose we can start slow, Earth’s gravity is a tad gentle. But it’s the most some of us have been around for some time now.”

Kures had not certainly not expected Khol’s actions, going from Earth gravity, to beyond that of Planet Vegeta in short order was not something she had ever prepared for. She had to push with her entire strength just to keep standing, she was thankful she hadn’t worn saiyan armour today as the extra weight being multiplied would likely have made things embarrassing.

“What is it with you and not giving warnings? Some of us don’t like surprises.”

At least he dialled it back down, she could feel it, though it wasn’t much different from Earth to a saiyan. Though he felt Khol would have something sadistic in mind, as he’d managed to make Earth’s gravity training hellish for her.

“I wanted to make sure it worked, and maybe bring conversation back around to the purpose of this room.

He didn’t want to sound like he did it to end the little fight between what should be allies, his new status had a certain amount of authority he wasn’t ready to bring to bear. He was use to people having spats, but right now wasn’t the time to let one go on to far. So the absent minded joy to try out his new toy could disguise his real intent, at least enough to give certain people an out.

“This chamber has it’s own gravity control, and as you just felt I managed to persuade Bulma to go way beyond the gravity levels we are use to. But for the sake of some people’s spines, we can start slow.”

Kures could see it before the others, her hands going to her tail. She’d thought he was over this, hadn’t she gotten strong enough to not need to put her tail through such pain? This had been bad enough under Earth’s pull, and now he had the potential to make them go through it over and over again under harsher and harsher gravity.

“You really are a git, brother.”

Khol laughed, seems Kures had gotten the idea as to why keeping things slow for those born under Earth’s gravity wasn’t going to really harm Saiyan training. Though she should know saiyans don’t grow strong without a challenge, and he knew they could be challenged by something really simple under the right circumstances. At least they won’t find their training any less painful as an Earthling for some time to come.

“Perhaps, but it’s going to be worth it in the long run.”

Taroga hadn't expected the sudden shift in gravity or Khol's role in it but he had no plans to be made a fool of. He forced his body to remain standing under the invisible mass of pressure that tried to bring him to his knees. He could feel his bones aching throughout his body and could almost hear the silent screams they let out in pain. Even his tail wasn't saved from the torture as it dropped towards the training room floor. He made a mental note to fight or kill Khol for this later.

He agreed with Kures about Khol's apparent dislike for giving warnings when people's bodies were going to be affected. "I... hate surprises."

Namori wasn't doing as well as the Saiyans when Khol attempted to crush everyone in the room. He immediately crashed down on one knee and pushed with his hands to keep from collapsing on the floor. He never felt anything like this before. The closest thing to it was his weight training but even that didn't feel like a constant force trying to push you down. He could feel the sweat glistening from his pores just from the effort it took for him to remain kneeling.

When the gravity changed again it was a lot more tolerable. It was similar to Earth's but different. He was surprised he could still feel anything but he feel the slight pressure on his body, but this time it was one that he could work against. Ever since he had learned how to fly he had almost forgotten about the existence of gravity and it became clear to him that he had been taking advantage of his planet's before now.

He slowly stood up, the cavitation formed bubbles in his joints cracking to life. "If you wanted to get us to kneel, Khol, you could've asked. I would have said no, but still."

Despite the machine nearly killing him, Taroga was impressed by the blue haired vixen. These humans never ceased to amaze. They really were an underestimated species. She managed to not only create a simulated gravity machine but also made it so that it only affected this room. He already planned to spend a lot of time here, but this was something he knew would help further his training.

His attention drifted towards Onam who didn't seem to be reading the room well. The fight was more than over and the subject changed to something actually worth their attention. He walked in between him and his sister and stood there firmly facing Onam. "This isn't one of those, 'I'm not giving up, no matter what.' moments. Trust me. I've had plenty of those. Your best bet is to take advantage of that guy being in mood to train. And frankly I don't want to be a victim of him testing out how much gravity it'd take to get us all on the floor. And in your state that level of gravity would kill you. So instead of fighting this hopeless fight, fight for your survival."

“Well...shit” onam plops to the floor, although clearly dissatisfied, giving himself a minute to breath, before once again forming a shell of energy and (futilely) attempting his technique over and over*

Yuki was finally made to brace against the sudden shift in gravity at such higher levels than the escape velocity had been, but seemed disappointed when Khol turned it back down. Honestly, she had thought for a moment that he had ignored her, but it turned out he just wanted to show off. Still, she was impressed by the revelation and was already missing the increase.

"I need it turned back up," she said directly. "As far as we can function within, then increased regularly as we travel." It sounded like she wouldn't need Khol's encouragement to push her training. It was truthfully only because she absolutely had to consider the limits of the others that she didn't specify it should be set to her limits, which would at least be higher than Onam and Sakuranbo's brother would have been able to handle.

The sudden jump from the gravity generator caused Sakuranbo to have to catch herself, but she wasn't picking herself up off the floor like the human. Still, the way her brother talked the human down sent a shot of pride through her heart, and she went over and clapped him on the shoulder.

"Wow, my brother, a voice of reason and restraint! Who abducted you and sent a cake with us, huh?"

“As much as that would be fun..”

Khol was sorely tempted to push things, after all he had his own training to think of. Though what good would that do? They weren’t ready for that, and they had to think about conserving their supply of senzu beans. Unless the cat could somehow make deep space deliveries, they were going to be a precious resource.

“We have to think long term, much to my disappointment.”

Looking at the weird assistant, who wasn’t exactly doing much in the way of assisting Bulma. He was the biggest limiting factor on their training progress, hadn’t even learned to control their ki. So no way they’d survive even Planet Vegeta’s gravity, let alone the sort of gravity it would take to give himself a real workout. Biology played as much a role in that as power, as a saiyan didn’t need to exert their power to withstand the gravity of their own home. They were after all born under it’s influence, hence how a saiyan could be weaker than an Earthling even under a tenth of the gravity of their home. Not so much the average Earthling of course, they were children, actually less than children in a majority of cases. But then he didn’t exactly hang around a lot of average humans, Bulma’s family was about it when it came those he knew with any degree of certainty.

“I’d suggest getting the kid there up to scratch, if you’re looking for a challenge?”

Chuckling cause well it would be a challenge, how does one teach something that came naturally to them? Most of his own life had been surrounded by beings who could wield ki, Terrans, Saiyans, those few Earthlings they called Z Fighters. So he wasn’t exactly sure how people actually learned it, it was as natural to himself as breathing. Might as well see if the lil ice princess had a better grasp on the subject, if not he was pretty sure Namori might. It wouldn’t be something the Turtle School would leave out, basics were seemingly important to Roshi.

“I’ve some saiyan tails to put through the ringer so to speak, which means weights, and rope. Less practical than using a plow, but then this is a ship so no ground to break up.”

Kures had flashbacks to that, thankful he wouldn’t be able to do it that way. But knowing Khol, it was going to be painful no matter how he intended to further their tail training.

“But you said it yourself when you trained me, we’re basically able to resist a tail grab.”

This was something she wanted to know, what was the point of further pain if it wasn’t going to do much in the way of further augmenting their ability to fight?

“Well considering we’re going to be ramping up the gravity slowly enough as to not cripple Earthlings, how else am I to ensure you are pushed to your limits? One’s tail is one of the few things that force us to grow in order to resist it’s paralysing pain. It’s also going to limit your fighting ability till you get use to it, each and every time the gravity goes up a notch.”

He was pulled out weights, balancing each in his palm as he surveyed the saiyans. Working out just how much each would be able to take on their tail, as they’d rather not have them accidentally get ripped off. Then bundling them together into three distinct piles held by straps, he looked at his own tail pondering.

“Where’s your weights then brother?”

Was he going to sit back and not take part? No way, that wasn’t Khol’s nature one bit. He was the one who demonstrated how to pull the plow, and he was even now holding what she knew to be a weighted sash with his tail.

“I’ve no need for the weights..”

Before she could protest his apparent unwillingness to do the same train, he flipped into the air. His tail catching an overhead bar, then promptly flexing pulling him up before letting him down before doing it again.

“..at least not under this amount of gravity.”

Kures actually turned away, muttering under her breath. She was definitely unsure who was worse, Kakarotto or Khol. At least Raditz was a normal by saiyan standards, no freakishness there at all.

“Simple task really, try to lift the weight with your tail. I’d settle for using your whole body to do it, it takes a while before you get around to actually doing this sort of thing with the tail alone.”

Letting go and with a flip landing on the ground, picking up the weights he’d set up he threw them to each of the saiyans. Kures stumbled a bit, her brother really had no clue about the fact he was a freak compared to the rest of them. Yes they would likely get as strong as him some day, but she doubted they’d ever get around to being so lax when it came to the notion of limitations. Considering the closest thing a saiyan had to religion was the belief there were not limits to their strength, Khol might be the closest thing they had to someone who practised what they preached.

“Suppose that leaves Earthlings to work out, get use to the gravity and enjoy the ride. I mean aside from helping bring Onam here up to speed, but I doubt you won’t enjoy a practice bout or two together while this lot are stretching the kinks out of their tails.”

Namori was likely to want some measurement on Yuki, they were once so evenly matched. But death had seemingly put a gap between them, he pondered if he was once again trying to keep saiyan and earthlings separated in training? Probably not, just that the saiyans had a weakness he knew how to take advantage of. Earthlings, their frailer overall nature aside didn’t have such an obvious weakness they could use to improve the gains from a training session. He himself though didn’t really have a goal in mind, he could do pull ups under this sort of gravity for days without achieving much of anything. He would keep an eye on the progress of others at this point, well that and continue the work he had begun some time ago now. Mastering the palm strike he’d created, well more than that, making it into a true technique in it’s own right. As for the moment it was a different way to channel the kiai, effective, and certainly devastating, but he liked to push things. Just look at his true Tera Flare, he pushed that to the point it hurt him, and frankly if he wasn’t willing to do the same with his other techniques, there wasn’t much of reason to train at all.

“At least things will be less stressful, no end of the world battles to distract one’s focus this time around.”

Taroga was honestly rather surprised to see that his words worked. He was sure that Onam would've been more stubborn and fought back a bit. He was glad that, that hadn't been the case. Crisis was averted for now and the human went back to his "training". You couldn't really call it that. He turned to his sister after she clapped him on the shoulder. He was partly surprised at his actions as well. He couldn't truly understand why he chose to stop the fight there, but he decided not to dwell on it.

"Don't be so excited for a case of the body snatchers. I'm still me. It was simply a matter of self preservation."

Namori had to admit that he was surprised at Taroga's development. His Saiyan friend may have not wanted to admit it, but Earth was actually changing him. And for the better.

Thankfully Khol created a distraction with the talk of tail training. Taroga's ears twitched at the mention of ropes. What exactly was he planning to do to their tails with that? Weight lifting he had no issue with, but torture was off the table. He shuddered at the thought of what he did with a plow. He eyed the weights when Khol pulled them out. They didn't seem that bad. The way Kures seemed to protest the thing you'd think it was one step away from dying. Then again she was the one he assumed had to deal with a plow.

When Khol started doing pull ups to get his point across Taroga simply commented. "He's a monster." He caught the weight he was supposed to be lifting and figured this wouldn't be hard. Their tails were just another extension of them and had the capabilities of grabbing things. This was just a way to make it stronger. He already started thinking of ways he could potentially use it in a fight once this was all said and done. Taking a weakness and turning it into a complete advantage.

Namori's full attention was caught when Khol mentioned practice bouts. This might be the only opportunity he would have to spar against Khol. He wasn't the type to turn down a fight no matter the difference in power. He truly learned that when the past Pendulum version chose to challenge him when he was the only one left in the fight instead of just taking him out like the others. But Namori was also interested in seeing just how strong the revived Yuki was. He hadn't been able to see her fight, but he knew that she was able to defeat the now dethroned Saiyan prince in the recent invasion. He wanted to know how. But first Khol had his full attention.

"Khol, I'd like to fight. You and I haven't had a chance to fight one on one. I can feel the difference in power between us, but I can't understand it until I actually feel it. I want to see firsthand where I'm lacking and what I need to improve on." He paused and then turned to Yuki. "And afterwards I'd like us to go around. We haven't had a proper fight since the Budokai. It's long overdue, don't you think?"

Sakuranbo caught her weights, too, having noticed how the others reeled from the impact and braced herself to catch them appropriately. She wasn't treasuring how this would feel, but she knew how necessary it was. She weighed the weights in her hands as a way to build up her nerve, then kneeled down and lifted her tail around and began fastening them on.

Immediately, the tail slammed into the floor the moment she released her hands from it, and the expression that crossed her face looked similar to someone who had been hit in the bread basket, but she learned from her mistake and began hefting it with appropriate effort from her tail instead of underestimating them. She wanted to get this started immediately. The sooner this was done, the sooner it was over with, and she could train appropriately and start getting stronger again. Pain be damned.

She alone had been there to see Yuki fight the Saiyan Prince, and she scoffed at Namori tossing out challenges. "You've got spirit, Earthling, but you're overreaching on both parts. If they wanted, either could end a spar with you in a few seconds and go do something more constructive with their time. You need to cut with the slacking off and actually build up your power before you'll be doing anything but wasting their time. Honestly, I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever be in a position to get another win on the ice princess again. Regardless of what you feel from them, you basically just challenged the two strongest people on this ship. They'd gain more from fighting each other than any of us." This would seem like an odd statement to Namori, and everyone else in the room able to sense energy for that matter, as to such a sense, Sakuranbo actually felt notably stronger than Yuki. Yet here she was talking like there was no way she could stand a chance against her.

Yuki had frowned at the refusal, her gaze going to Onam at Khol's suggestion. How distasteful a thought. Her training methods were not for the unfaithful, but what choice was there? Namori couldn't spare the time, he needed to get to work. Speaking of Namori, when Sakuranbo spoke, the princess sent her gaze back to her for a long, inscrutable moment, then she turned to him. "Namori, I would be delighted to train with you, but there is something I must do first, it seems."

The princess turned for the technician and ignored his pitiful attempts, simply grabbing him under the arm as she walked by him. "Come, human. We will find a quiet corner, and I will begin teaching you what you require to cease humiliating yourself so."

Namori agreed with Sakuranbo for the most part. He wasn't necessarily overreaching with his requests. He knew that currently there was no way he was going to win a spar against them. Winning wasn't his objective, but that didn't mean he didn't plan on giving it his all either. She was, however, right about him slacking off. His life changed the day he met both Yuki and Khol. It was the day that he experienced his first real failure as well as the day that he realized that the world could be safe without him. Up until then the fate of the world seemed to rest on his shoulders and when he started training with Kami his spirit was split between being Earth's shield and its sword. He had failed as both. His loss to Piccolo split his spirit even more. If Khol hadn't been there Namori would've lost everything and everyone he loved and chose to protect.

He refused to let himself admit it before now, but that day was what led to him slacking off. He tried to convince himself he was training harder, but something inside of him still kept holding him back in his training. Pressure had been lifted from his split spirit and he didn't want the pressure back, but he wanted to find his inner warrior again. He needed to and that's why he needed to spar against the two. He needed to accept his own failures and allow his warrior spirit to break through the limits he had placed on himself. This was Namori's resolve.

He lifted his head when Sakuranbo made the statement of Khol and Yuki being the two strongest people on this ship. If someone decided to sense and scan everyone's power in the ship it would've been open to be a challenge at first glance. Khol's power was without a doubt the largest but from a normal reading Yuki's power wasn't something to scoff at, but it wasn't the greatest either. Namori wouldn't have been blinded by that though. Hidden truths to power was something that he and the Earthlings knew well. Master Roshi in particular was the prime example of being much stronger than he appeared to be. Yuki seemed to be taking it to a whole other level. "I know, but it's much deeper a reason than simply challenging them because they're the strongest."

Namori was glad that Yuki agreed. "Thank you. And of course. Take your time. It'll give me the chance to recover after Khol." When he said his name he turned to him. "So. Will you also accept or do you agree with Sakuranbo that doing pull ups would be more fun than fighting me?"

“I hope you’re not going to complain afterwards, as this is likely to be instructive, not fun.”

Frankly Khol knew there was only result that could be had, nobody truly challenged his power. A couple could force him to actually defend himself, but he’d still dominate the fight when all was said an done. It actually made him rather depressed, as he wanted more from a fight than victory. The sense that defeat was possible, the pain of striving to survive, everything this lot got to feel when they fought with their full might. His ki rose, as there wasn’t any real need to hide it, his companions knew he was strong.

“Well Saku, we’d gain plenty from brother kicking our butts. But then we’re saiyans, and get stronger even in defeat. Though I think I’ve had my fill of that over the past year, only so many times can one eat dirt before it wears thin.”

Indeed much of her strength was now built by her brother’s insurmountable power, which was nice and annoying at the same time. Her power should be from her own effort, not cause brother happened to never back down from a challenge no matter how feeble. She gingerly tied the weight to her tail, and set it down gently. Unlike Saku, she had plenty of experience from what Khol considered light training to even attempt letting the weight drop. She began to tug on it with her tail, it didn’t budge as by the time the weight was fully being tested by her tail it lost to the pain. Hopefully Namori and Khol would keep the racket down, as this was going to take a lot of her concentration to do.

“So how should I limit myself to give you a semblance of chance? How about I only use my tail to attack? It won’t change the outcome, but it’ll give those who are grumbling about my barbaric treatment of their tails a taste of what to expect when they’re finished.”

That and he’d probably end up killing Namori if he didn’t think up something that would remove basically his entire arsenal. They’d learn that their tails could become a weapon, not just a weak spot they could get use to. Namori wasn’t likely to enjoy it, as he wasn’t going to win and it would seem like further humiliation to so limit himself. But then maybe that will push the earthling to take the opportunity to train rather than a pointless bout that won’t really give Khol what he desires.

Namori

"You won't hear any complaints here. I'm well aware of what I'm getting myself into."

Namori was going into this fight knowing that it was more than likely that he would come out losing. But he also held onto the fact that power wasn't the only thing that won fights. He just never experienced such an overwhelming difference before. When Khol's ki rose he could feel the power emanating from him. He remained unnerved and still determined to see this through. Namori responded by releasing his own ki. It was nothing compared to his friend's but this battle wasn't simply a show of power.

Namori would've normally been insulted when Khol suggested only using his tail to attack to even the odds as best as he could. Instead he couldn't help but to let out a small laugh. If he hadn't limited himself he probably wouldn't have lasted more than five seconds. He just had to accept that as the truth. He was also interested in learning more about what the Saiyan tail could do and just how much it could take. He was going to find out here and now. "That's fine with me. You may come to regret going so easy on me." His words weren't filled with cockiness, but with a sure confidence that he could make Khol regret looking down on him in this moment.

His eyes drifted towards the machine controlling the gravity in the room. The gravity was just slightly higher than that of Earth's but he knew that it would still affect his speed and movements. Before he went in half-cocked he'd need to find out just how much. He lightly jogged in place to see just how much the pull of gravity slowed him. While he did that he sent a few punches into the air to get a feel of how much weight his punches carried and how much slower they were. When he felt that he gauged it enough he entered an offensive stance.

Namori inhaled deeply and exhaled before firing off a single blast of ki and dashing behind it to hide his movements. He knew that in normal circumstances that Khol would be able to see through his speed and with the added hindrance of slowed movements he'd need a bit of a distraction to get things going.

Taroga

Taroga watched and learned from Sakuranbo and Kures on how not to and how to begin their tail weight training. He lifted his tail so that he could finally tie his own weight on, but made sure to keep his hands on it until he got it to the ground. He could feel the pressure as soon as he fastened it on. This wasn't going to be easy and he was sure that he was going to hate it. But it was necessary. If he couldn't get through this he might as well give up on becoming stronger now.

His first attempt at lifting it had seemingly futile results. It didn't budge at all, but his tail could feel the force he was exerting on it and he held back from expressing the pain that he felt. He wasn't going to go out looking like some punk. He was going to try again, but his attention drifted towards Namori and Khol when the latter mentioned using only his tail to attack. This was what he needed to see. He was already planning to use his tail more after he finished his training. This was his opportunity to take notes and so he decided to multitask by studying this fight while continuing his attempt to lift his tail.

“I doubt that.”

Khol wasn’t going to wait, he’d done that more than enough. So the moment the ki ball was launched he moved, right at it. He didn’t even feel it explode against him, as he twisted around, his right hand grabbing his sash as his tail unwound. Flicking it out and around as if he were doing a spin kick, right into the left temple of Namori.

“Now, how about you make me regret it. Instead of hoping I will.”

Khol wasn’t exactly a trash talker, but he certainly did like to encourage his opponents. People seemed to put more effort into things when they were annoyed, his sister was a more explosive version of that theory. Something Nappa found out to his cost, but no, there would be no such luck for Khol. Namori wasn’t about to double in power, they was going fight till he’d whacked them enough times with his tail. A shame as he could’ve gotten more of a work out from such a turn of events, he swung the sash up so it now rested across his shoulders.

Namori was sent flying down across the floor. It felt like he had ran into a brick wall and the wall had a fist. He couldn't understand how someone's tail could hit so hard. He really would have died without this handicap. He really was out of his league. Khol was in an entirely different weight class. But it wasn't so far out of reach that Namori couldn't achieve it and even surpass that. He may not have grown as much as the others, but he grew a lot in one year. He reached the kind of power he would've never thought about achieving and he did that while slacking off. There was no telling what he could do when he actually put in the effort.

Taroga winced for Namori when he got smacked to the floor. He didn't understand why he was going through this or what his plan was. He had no hopes of winning and he received no benefit from nearly dying like a Saiyan. So why was he putting himself through this? He didn't know him to be a masochist. He never met anyone that fought harder to live.

Namori slowly stood up and faced Khol. He could still feel a stinging pain in his left temple. He could only take about one or two more of those hits before he'd be forced to bed rest for potentially the remainder of the trip. They couldn't waste any of the senzu beans that they brought along. It was already a good number of people on the ship. He couldn't afford to get hit again. He still had to fight Yuki once she was done training with Onam and he'd rather not be close to his last leg when that time comes.

He had to figure out how to attack Khol. He was already leagues faster than him in normal gravity. But with the gravity adjusted the difference was even more great. He couldn't use the Exploding Wave. Bulma would kill him if he did that kind of damage to the ship. It wouldn't have even been worth it since he was sure that it wouldn't do anything to Khol anyway. He couldn't do an electric explosion either. He would've risked hitting the others and he doubted Khol would've given him the time to charge it.

His main focus was the tail. Not only was it the one thing being used to attack him, but it was also his opponent's greatest weakness. He figured that since Khol believed there was still a reason for him to train on strengthen it that he wasn't completely immune to its weakness. It wasn't perfect yet. So what was the tail's limit? Just how much could it take?

He had an idea. "Alright. I'll give you what you want." Namori ignored the pain that he was feeling and ran forward. Before he got within the tail's range he clenched his right fist before flipping into the air above Khol. Sparks and jolts of lightning appeared on and around the knuckles of his fist before it became completely enveloped. It appeared as if he was going in for a punch, but he wasn't going to make things that easy for him. He thrust his fist down with Khol's head aimed at the center of the attack and released an arc of Celestial Lightning.

Namori kept his hand ignited when he landed behind Khol. He wasn't done and immediately reached to grab hold of his tail while also keeping an eye out for it to attack so that he could dodge it. If successful in grabbing the tail the contact would send a surge of electricity throughout it.
Namori: -1420 (Celestial Lighting)
-1420 (Force Lightning Tail Grab)

Khol sighed as the sparks danced across his flesh, so this was the height of it. Namori was going for his tail, he’d be disappointed even had this sort of thing worked on him. Yes a win was a win, but was it worth taking shortcuts? Not to Khol, no he wanted his victories to be hard fought. But in this case, it wasn’t going to be a shortcut nor hard fought. His tail was quick to react, wrapping around Namori’s arm.

“I want more than this..”

His tail squeezed, it’s vice like grip crushing as he was a bit miffed. Then turned, giving his tail room to throw Namori back to where they came from. Assuming they had the talent to prevent to stick he landing, Khol had to ponder if Namori didn’t consider this a possibility? He had shown the ability to lift his own mass with his tail under this gravity, and Namori wasn’t heavier than Khol.

“..Much more.”

It failed. Just what did this tail go through for it to even be able to resist lightning formed from his ki? He knew the body attached to it was incredibly strong, but he was more than sure that this would've worked. Namori could feel hope escape him as Khol's tail wrapped around his arm. He forced himself from yelling out as his arm was being crushed under the tail's constraint. He immediately found himself flung across the room as if he were some rag doll.

He managed to land on his feet and looked up at Khol as he held onto his right arm. This is why he always chose a straightforward way of fighting. He would've never gone for the tail in a fight before this. He didn't even do it in his training with Taroga. There was no honor in exploiting your opponent's weakness. And in this case it made the loss even more humiliating. He could see more clearly that he lost his way as a warrior. He learned something from this fight after all.

It hurt to move his right arm. He lifted his left hand to his face letting his right arm fall to his side. He had one more thing that he could do, but he didn't see the point in it. It would be just prolonging the inevitable and he would look foolish.

"I'll give you more. Just not now. You have the burden of being the strongest. I don't know if I'll ever surpass you, but I aim to relieve you of some of that burden and give you the challenge you crave. But for now I've accepted my defeat. Thank you for this."

Khol was rather disappointed by the sudden acceptance of defeat, true there wasn’t exactly anything Namori could do to pull off a victory. However Khol’s personality saw the impossible as something to challenge, he just hadn’t found his own impossible at the moment to prove that. The rising to the power of legend was the closest he had to something beyond his ability, though even then nobody knew just how powerful the Super Saiyan was. He could easily blow up a planet if he really wanted to, so he was certainly able to do the same feat of the Super Saiyan. Then again Khol wasn’t forced to remain in his Oozaru state to contain his own power, so there was a fair way to go ahead of him. At least that’s what he got from the legends, though there ought to be some truth in them. Vegeta was not their home of old, weird that saiyans tend to end up traversing the stars due to planetary destruction. Hopefully a fate Earth wouldn’t endure.

“Surpass me? I’m planning on doing that right now, I’m not exactly known for laziness.”

“Just beating people black and blue, and letting people who try to kill you live.”

Kures had winced a fair few times during the sparring session, Khol’s tail just like Khol himself was insultingly sturdy. She regretting a few times having her tail attached the weights, as instinctive twitches were rewarded by pain as her tail failed to lift their burden.

“Vegeta would disagree on that score, though there was no hope he’d ever behave.”

Well that and he felt it was actually more of a mercy, King Vegeta’s pride would’ve likely seen him do far worse in attempting to take back the throne. So by killing him, he’d never have to deal with the notion Khol was his superior in strength and authority. With Tarble, he’d give the mercy he never got himself. Though they weren’t much of a worry, as apparently the kid was known to be a bit of a pacifist. Khol could probably do something about that, but then he wasn’t exactly fond of the nature of the saiyans as they were right now. So plenty of them were going to be getting set rather irksome tasks before he moulded them into the race he had shown such pride in.

“Less chit chat, more lifting sister. Or do you want to be surpassed yourself?”

She gritted her teeth, even if she knew that momentary flicker of rage was exactly why Khol prodded her. It wasn’t something she was going to forgive any time soon, his training sessions were apparently always going to be like this. Khol did it for a good reason, born of his desires to see them grow, but still, did he have to be so annoying with it? Khol though seemed to have returned to worrying about his own training, it did make her ponder how he was going to keep training if he was handicapping himself to the pace of the weakest fighter?

Khol flipped up again to have himself suspended by his tail, he seemed to be thinking rather than actively trying to train. Indeed he felt his training was going to be mainly mental at this point, physically speaking it was going to be a while before he could get much out of training in this chamber. So he drew in his hands, filling them with ki he expelled outwards. It didn’t do much but cause him to gently sway a few centimetres, he knew he could do more with full thrusts of his kiai. But he felt there was a path here to greater mastery of his power, improving the transfer of his ki, without wasting it on unnecessary movements. He’d done more impressive things to create the palm strike, but he wouldn’t need boulders to see results when it came to truly mastering it’s potential.

As Yuki pulled him away, Onam seemed even more repulsed than her about the prospect, and he pulled his arm away, looking disgusted at the idea of this mere child teaching HIM of all people. Onam thought back to all of the times he had proven that he was just ... well ... better than other people. There were a plethora of experiences to prove this. He could outperform anyone in his field, out-speed any athlete, or even just walk into a dojo and crush everyone there. Though he acknowledged that he was dealing with a new brand of inferior, it was all the same to him. Sure, he was having trouble figuring out all of this, but he didn't need help from this brat.

"Look, you may have this whole ki thing down pat, and I haven't gotten ahold of this yet, but I don't need your help, and I sure as shit don't want it. I figure I've cooled off enough at this point, so I'm gonna go do my job."

Onam began to stalk off, heading off toward the cockpit to check with Bulma on the current state of the ship, hoping to the GODS that there would be something to do to take his mind off of all of this.

The temperature in the room began to plummet rapidly as Onam headed for the door, and the reinforced door iced over with jutting water crystals even as he was en route, rendering it inoperable.

Behind him, Yuki's eyes were glowing with a glacial blue light that suffused their details and cast their own light across her face as an aura extended from her that clawed at the air in the training chamber like the cold breath of death. "You foolish mortal," she seethed like the hiss of crackling ice in a mood only Khol and Namori present had ever seen her in, and not for some time. "You don't know to whom you speak," she continued as she strode toward him. To his senses, there was no sound in the massive room but her voice and her overloud footfalls, no light but that frigid emanation of her gaze. "I offered to teach you using methods reserved for the enlightenment of Himavat's faithful, for your own sake that you might live long enough to prove worth the air you breathe. I am Yuki Musume, Warrior Princess of the Frozen Lands, the eternal spirit of ice and snow, and I offered for naught but your own benefit wisdom and knowledge that you do not deserve, but with a Man's arrogance, you refuse."

She came to a stop before him, and though he was taller, her bearing was both regal and oppressive, so that his size seemed diminished in comparison. "I have sealed the lives of men within the cold fist of death for far lesser slights." For a moment, it seemed like she would do the same to him, but instead, the ice on the door behind him disintegrated like dust on the wind. "Leave if you will, you pathetic little man, but do so, and if you value your life, never enter this room again to train and let me find you doing so. Fools test the limits of my patience, and I refuse outright to suffer quitters and cowards. Leave now, and if I find you wasting our time again, you shall never see Namek, or swallow your foolish mortal male pride and learn from your betters. This is not a choice I shall extend to you again."

Namori decided to take the challenge. Why stop at just getting close to him in power? The only way Khol'd be challenged is if he was facing someone stronger than him. There was currently a severely large gap between his and Khol's power. He always knew that but after this attempt at a spar he really felt it. Most specifically in his right arm. He turned and started walking away. He was about to pass Taroga when he noticed the Saiyan looking up at him.

"It almost hurt me watching you get beat like that. Though I was sure you would've kept going until you died." His taunting of Namori seemed to energize Taroga. It helped him manage to speak while he struggled to lift the weight with his tail.

"I'm not quite that easy to get rid of." He continued to walk, but made sure to step on the weight before he moved further. He smiled at Taroga's pained expression in response, but knew that he wouldn't retaliate and interrupt his own training. He made his way to a free spot in the room and thought for a second about what he should do. His right arm still hurt like Hell so he knew he couldn't do anything with it right now. He'd let it heal for a bit at first. The first thing he needed to do was get adjusted to the room's new gravity. It was easy enough to walk in, but it did slow him down a bit against Khol. Not that there would've been much difference if they were back on Earth.

Namori slowly dropped to the floor and entered the pushup position. It was time to go back to the basics. He reached over his back with his right arm to keep it there as he started. He wasn't attempting to show off. He was sure that everyone there could do them one-handed and he was even more sure that Khol could do his with just his tail. He was just training while letting his arm rest.

He had managed to reach ten before the temperature in the room suddenly dropped. He knew immediately that it was Yuki's doing. He had to remind himself never to get on her bad side before continuing. He decided to use the low temperature as another way to help his training. He hoped that Onam would accept her offer. It was the smart thing to do and it helped Namori since he was nowhere near ready to get beat again.
