Sitting on the roof top of an abandoned factory, Celeste looked onto the city. Her long silver hair blowing in the wind as her bright blue eyes fixated on the stars beyond the city's glow. With her left leg propped up and the right dangling down off the edge of a concrete ledge, she took in the night air as her left elbow rested on her elevated knee. The air smelt like rain, moist and a bit tropical. It reminded Celeste of the days she spent out at the beach. Nothing but the crashing of waves and the warmth of the sun resting on her tan, young, smooth skin. Taking in a deep breath, she revolved in the brief memory. What a simple, easy life it was. No danger, no worry, no hunting. Yes, hunting. Letting out a sigh, she brought herself back to why she stationed herself up top this abandoned building. The red-brownish walls blending into the dark background, barely visible even by the streetlights. Keeping her gaze on the city, she slowly dragged her right hand across the rooftop's concrete covering. Finding and settling itself on a Lynx sniper rifle with a tracker sight and Trijicon ACOG scope. Pulling the weapon close to her body, she rested the nuzzle on her lap. Reaching for her black and red backpack positioned a few inches away. She effortlessly reached inside with her gaze still focused on the city. After a few moments of searching, she pulled out a black chamber filled with black bullets finished with red tips and some wireless black Beats headphones. Letting out a breath, Celeste placed the headphones on her head. Clicking on the top right side, she pressed play, What's Up Danger blaring in her eardrums.

Entering a single clip into her weapon, Celeste brought her raised leg down, grabbed hold of her rifle, and stood up. Her attire seemed to become visible in the dim light. Celeste's attire consisted of mainly black skinny jeans, a red tank top, black zipper hoodie zipped halfway, and red converses. Typically, people in her profession wore combat boots. But for Celeste it depended on how she was taking care of the job and how close she anticipated herself to be to her target.

Settling the sniper rifle against her shoulder, Celeste aimed down the scope. Looking through the tracker sight first, that seemed to be detecting someone yards away. Though these scopes were not known for much distance, this one was especially customized to do so. Celeste preferred distant weapons when possible. Switching from her tracker sight, she flipped up the Trijicon ACOG scope. Her target more visible. It was a young-looking man with gray eyes and blonde hair. Listening to her music, she waited for the beat to drop at precisely the right moment, taking a deep breath, she took her shot. Hitting the target in the shoulder, the recoil of the gun not even moving her a single inch. But the impact of her bullet seemed to topple the young man over. When he turned to look around him, his eyes were different. They were blood red. Taking the gun down from her shoulder, Celeste rested it against her body. The barrel slightly facing the ground. Celeste's gaze rested on the city once more. "Job's done," she stated under her breath. Her music still playing.

Celeste was a hunter. A hunter for supernatural beings such as vampires, werewolves, angels, demons, and the like. This was the world she lived in. The only world she knew. The only world that made sense.


Welcome to the lovely city of...Well frankly the name of this city does not really matter now does it? This is a time not much different than our own. A reality many believe to exist but are unsure. Heh if you only knew. This reality, the reality you live in right now is not real. But the one Celeste lives in is. Vampires, werewolves, angels, demons, and hybrids do exist. But here they are more open with who and what they are. Something everyone was excited about when it was initiated back in 2010, just 9 years ago.

The Waymingham Hunter's Society was created by Theodore Waymingham centuries ago before these creatures began exposing themselves. Wanting everyone around them to know who and what they are. Their friends, families, and the world. People were a bit hesitate to accept this, but it was the reality. The real reality that the monsters we created stories and urban legends about exist now; and have existed since the beginning of time. Theodore Waymingham knew about their existence since the very beginning. In fact, it was his family that tried to warn people about them for centuries. And no one listened. Therefore, he decided to create a secret organization that would protect people from these so-called monsters. The monsters who they knew were not all nice and harmless. Over the centuries, the society began to grow. Expending out of the family and over the world. Hunting these beings that were deemed unsafe and ill-mannered became their life's work. Besides someone had to do the dirty work…eventually. After all, in this reality not everyone is good or can be trusted. However, since the reveal of vampires, werewolves, and the like, another contract has recently surfaced. One seeking to demolish the hunter’s society. No one is sure why. After all, in the grand scheme of things the hunting society was like police for non-humans.

There is only one law the hunter society does not break: Hunters are not allowed to kill Angels and Humans; unless killed by their own kind. But of course, a job must be done and aren't most laws meant to be broken?

It is important to note that not all hunters within the society are human. A change made to help spread the word across races exactly what it is they do.

Senior: one rank below commander, typically able to work both alone and paired with another Senior Ranked Hunter; helps train Apprentice rank and mentor Advanced Apprentice rank hunters
Commander: only held by a select few, highest rank given but can only be two from each race at a time; oversees Hunter’s Society in accordance with the Council; rarely goes out hunting unless absolutely necessary

Celeste has young, tan looking skin with bright blue eyes and silver hair.
Skills: Basic hand-to-hand combat, weapons specialist (mostly of rifles and snipers), stronger than the average human, very observant, and surprisingly a good singer. Like most Angels she can look on a scene and focus her sight on something or someone specific even at an incredible distance.
Weaknesses: Trusting people and the ability to use her wings
Background: Celeste Ales Thompson was born to Anna Monte Alexandria and Kevin Samuel Thompson. Her mother was a full-fledged angel, while her father was a human hunter. The two meant each other one day while Kevin was stalking a target for a case. He spotted her in the crowd and ever since then could not get his mind off her. (Classic love story…) Celeste's parents said it was love at first sight for both. Of course, it was uncommon at that time for humans and worldly beings to be together, however, the young couple did not care. After getting married, they had Celeste. Her mother gave her this name to mean "one born in heaven." But of course, she would, she was an angel after all. Celeste carries many attributes from both her parents. She gets her silver hair, her ageless skin, extended life span, and her singing abilities from her mother while from her father she inherited her bright blue eyes, fighting techniques, and bright smile. Though Celeste is part angel, unlike most angel hybrids, she’s unable to sprout her wings nor can she fly. Something she was excited about when she was younger and something she was constantly bullied about by her peers. Her mother use to tell her all Angels get their wings in time. Some from achieving greatness and others from extreme loss. She has even told Celeste that the feathers of her wings could heal others. Though since she has not gotten them, the young woman does not believe as much in this fairytale. But like most Angels, Celeste was born with two slits on her back where her wings should be. Things for the family was like any other family. Parents went to work, Celeste went to school, and would try every night to sit together for dinner. However, this all changed on that night.
Celeste's parents were killed one night at their home in the city when she was 10. The motive was unclear, but most likely just a burglary gone wrong. She pretends she does not want to know what really went wrong, but deep down she has always been curious. One thing she did learn that night after their death was to never trust anyone. At least not until they could prove themselves worthy. After the incident, Celeste was taken in by one of her father's friends who also worked for the society. No matter how much the young man tried, Celeste seemed closed off, like something was triggered in her that night. Or rather was switched off. After reaching the age of 18, Celeste joined the Waymingham Hunter's Society. Since she resembled her mother the most, remembering her would be easy, but it was her father's work she thought would bring her closer to him. He spent much of his nights working and days sleeping so the time they spent was a bit limited. Celeste did get a chance to leave the city during her college studies but came back because she just wanted to be in the place where her parents used to be. Something that made her feel at ease. Unlike most she really does not have a crazy past, or at least she likes to think so. But everyone has something right?

Weaknesses: Holy water and eyes are sensitive to the sun therefore wears sunglasses whenever out during the day
Background: Robert is not really anyone special. He trained with Celeste’s father and the two were hunting partners. He currently now takes of Celeste when needed as she moved out of his apartment into her own. Something that made him feel like a proud father. Robert worries for the girl as she can sometimes be distant and closed off since the day she lost her parents. In fact, it took Celeste about 4 years before she began opening to him. Something he expected but did not push as it was something she had to do for herself.
When she left for college, Robert hoped this would lighten her mood. See new sights and meet new people. Of course, when she told him she was returning home he was delighted. He did practically raise her after all. Though he did hope being away would help ease her pain if even a little.

Name: Dalkerek Shoul
Age: 19 in human years, his race's calendar is actually shorter, making him 27 by their count, but the growth rate is equivalent.
Gender: Male
Race: Orotian - Essentially human in most respects, Orotians handle extremes of temperature better, particularly heat, and have better oxygen processing, giving them larger lung capacities. They look essentially like humans, or close enough that they blend in without difficulty. The only really big differences is that they have scale-like chitin chips going back toward their temples from the corners of their eyes and their hair grows in front-to-back strips, emulating lizard-like ridges, rather than a full head of hair. Though not readily noticeable outside of a medical examination, they also possess a double eyelid, protecting their eyes from airborne hazards without requiring them to hinder their sight by closing their eyes. They're also slightly hardier than humans, but not meaningfully so.
Occupation: University Undergraduate (Xenoarchaeology), Adventure-seeker, Hero
Appearance: He's pretty tall, standing at about 6' 3" with a light tan and blonde hair in the ridges typical of his race. His chitin is dark emerald, as are his eyes, and he has a trim build commonly associated with a high school triathlete. When not dressed to blend in, he's usually wearing firm-fitting black pants, black boots and the Orotian equivalent of a tank top - a silver-grey vest fastened with a velcro equivalent that closes under the right shoulder rather than at the sternum. He's fond of wearing a red arm band. When dressing to blend in, he usually opts for cargo pants and a red tank top, but keeps his arm band and boots, claiming the latter are a more comfortable fit than Earth shoes.

When morphed, his uniform is primarily silver spandex with a black belt, red gloves and red boots. A red starburst is on his chest over the middle of the sternum, which blends into red shoulders, collar, upper chest and upper half of his upper arms. His helmet is silver on the lower half and red on the upper half.
Skills:
Powers: As the Nova Ranger, Dalkerek possesses enhanced agility, strength and toughness. In addition, his power suit will absorb and negate amounts of damage that would rip a person apart otherwise. It also allows him to access and utilize Ancient technology, most notably his Power Staff, the full power of which can't be utilized by anyone not using such a suit.

Equipment: He has his morpher, of course, as well as his primary weapon, the Power Staff, a long, silver metal pole the length and size of a bo. It is incredibly sturdy and weighted perfectly for heavier blows, but its true power comes to light when linked with Dalkerek's power suit, which enables it to fire high-energy blasts from the tip and erect a forward shield barrier so long as Dalkerek can remain stationary. Its metal build naturally repels energy attacks, allowing them to be knocked or batted away.

He also has his own hovercycle, but it pales in comparison to the militarized one he can access while morphed, a piece of Ancient technology that sports far better speed and maneuverability, high-energy rapid-fire weapons and a defensive screen to protect the rider.

His suit is environmentally sealed and can handle submersion, the vacuum of outer space and most environmental hazards without difficulty.
Weaknesses: Unmorphed, he has virtually the same weaknesses as a normal, athletically skilled human being. He has no blatant, direct weaknesses while morphed, but if the suit sustains too much damage, it will short out and cause him to forcefully demorph, a rather painful process that will also leave him unable to use the morpher again until its breaker analogues have had time to reset.
Background: Dalkerek (or Dalk for short, though the few humans he's known opt for the easier Erek, as it resembles a human name) is pretty jovial in most casual situations and eager to make new acquaintances. When someone is in danger, however, he doesn't hesitate to drop everything to rush to their aid. He's quite the mechanic and very fond of motorcycles, though on his planet, they hover. He finds the wheeled variety so common on Earth and planets of similar technological levels fascinating, albeit in a quaint novelty sort of way. He's also extremely athletic and enjoys sports, even picking up a fondness for surfing while once visiting Earth.

Dalkerek is a humanoid alien Power Ranger from the Shirkon Nebula, a collection of inhabited planets scattered loosely across a dozen solar systems and ruled under the common banner of the Republic Collective. However, this is only the most recent civilization among those stars, and legends swarm with tales of ancient caches of hyper-advanced technology, forgotten libraries of knowledge so advanced and powerful as to be indistinguishable from magic.

It was probably only a matter of time before one such cache was discovered, but rather than technological and medical wonders, explorers discovered the stasis pods of a Dark Empress and her Court. With her knowledge of the Ancients and their technology, and reasoning that, as the last of them, it fell to her to inherit the galaxy, she waged a war on the Republic Collective.

Though they outnumbered her forces by seemingly staggering amounts, numbers alone proved impotent against the power of the Ancients and all hope seemed lost until the discovery of a second cache, smaller but ... unoccupied. Dalkerek was helping his father and others on the dig, but almost immediately after discovering the ruins, they were attacked by the Empress' forces and were forced to flee into the depths of the place.

By sheer chance, they happened upon a sealed armory with weapons, power suits and other gear. With these, they staged a successful defense, broke through the imperial ranks and survived to wage a guerrilla campaign against the Dark Empress. Three working power devices were found and unlocked by Dalkerek and two other young adults assisting his father, and with them, as the Nova, Perris and Holo Rangers, they forced the Dark Empress back to the depths of her reawoken super-weapon, where she was destroyed with it when they ruptured its power core.

Equipment: the expert owns a bunker that contains hundreds of books/scrolls/weapons ect... (magic or otherwize) although he does have one,fairly littraly, all occasions weapon: ex owns an unusually small wakizashi forged from several different types of metal (raw iron, steel ect.) and quenched in holy water that has been enchanted with common as well as less conventional means, and has been blessed/sanctified by priests and holy men from a very large amount of cultures/religions to be capable of dealing with most supernatural threats.
background: ex has been alive for some thousand years, never growing (physically) past the age of 20. after being alive for so long, ex noticed that no matter what, all civilization always fell eventually. realizing this, ex decided to document every civilization (human or not) as well as possibly helping some people along the way

Appearance: A petite young woman with lightly tanned skin. Blonde ringlets frame her face, and two bright blue eyes seem to pierce right through to one's very core. She nearly looks angelic--ironically enough--with dainty features and a winning smile. When using her more infernal capabilities, her irises turn a smoky red, and golden light seems to be diffused beneath her skin.

Skills: Can control and summon fire easily, immune to Vampire and Werewolf bites (cannot be turned), can summon hellish beasts (furies and hellhounds) within the limits of being once a day, can perform a minor "miracle" twice a day, skilled at hand to hand combat

Weaknesses: Holy Water is absolutely deadly in any amount, standing on sacred ground (i.e. churches) causes her to be in mild physical pain, she is weakened in the day time and strengthened at night, the touch of a heavenly being causes catastrophic psychic damage, because she is untrained in her infernal arts they take a massive toll on her energy

Background:
Lillith doesn't know she is half-demon. In fact, she never met her father at all, only being raised by her human mother, Dorothy Hampton. Raised non-religiously, there was simply no reason for Lillith to ever find out, and Dorothy was happy to pretend that her daughter was completely human. She has lived in their small apartment, just over their family's floral shop, all of her life. Happy and well-taken care of, the young girl wanted nothing more than to simply take over the flower shop when she grew older and to live out her days in their sunny neighborhood--affectionately named the Vale. But when she turned 13, things started to change. No more were the days where she could run outside with her playmates and bike down the street. She felt sick most of the time, tired and listless when she was out in the day.

Shrugging it off as puberty, Lillith sought to fill her time with other things when she wasn't at school; indoor only activities. So she spent her time training in hand to hand combat with her eccentric uncle, Sebastian. Sebastian had been a hunter for years, learning the secrets of werewolves, angels, vampires, and yes, even demons. He insisted that when Lillith was searching for a hobby that she train with him so that she could become a hunter too. Not totally convinced on the 'hunting' aspect, but eager for something to fill her time, Lillith agreed. For the next 10 years, that is what she did when not attending classes at high school, and later at the local college. All the while, she continued to help her mother with the flowers too though, feeling happy with her two most favorite people.

It was when she saw Sebastian kill a small vampire child in the street that her heart broke. He had convinced her that what he did was just and right--these monsters sought to hurt humans and themselves and couldn't be trusted--but Lillith saw through that argument. This was just an excuse for violence and she wouldn't stand for it. She cut all ties with her uncle after many tears and much heartbreak. Now she helps runs her flower shop: The Dusty Rose, with her mother in the day, and spends her nights saving innocent individuals from the hunter's cross-hairs.

Skills: Infernal Spellcasting- Void Spear, Astral Claw, Damning Yowl, and Darkflame Sword. Access to alchemy, telepathy with contracted individuals, darkvision, feline agility, and his adorable nature. Devi can summon up his most malevolent of auras to intimidate and inspire fear and dissolution. He can be summoned at will by anyone who bears his marker, its up to him whether he allows it or not.

Weaknesses: Frailty of body type: He can resist normal conventional damage but the strength of supernatural beings is comparable to the strength humans have on regular cats to Devi's body. He can resist holy water unless it exceeds two fluid ounces, sanctified areas only cause him mild irritation and rashes, and angelic beings below mid range power levels are either of match or inferior to his infernal powers, though stronger types can threaten banishment or destruction. If his contract is broken, he must sacrifice a majority of his power, and if his true name falls into the wrong hands he can be killed outright.

Samantha has become important to him, beyond the contract, however to manipulate this fact is to invite the full wrath of a an ancient being, not advised. He can be bribed with fish and poultry having been spoiled in his relationship to his mortal, if not stopped he can become lax in the face of his hunger or feline tendencies being manipulated.

Background: Devi as he will be known as until he reveals his proper infernal name, which is the source of his power and thus is a closely guarded secret, is a demon powerful enough to warrant the need of a contract to retain his power within the mortal world. Previously, he was one of the choirs of angels serving under God, namely he was a Power-the warrior angels that were born of the first breath of creation to safeguard all that God had made from Evil. Whatever his name once was is now lost to time and space, and none but the highest order can recall who he once was as his form has been mangled and twisted over time.

This one threw his lot in with Lucifer because he felt that the father was unfair to mortals and that his plans were unjustifiably complex and unfounded, so he made his choice to stand by the access of free will and to safeguard all of creation from the ills of a creator who could not reveal his divine motivations. He was cast down, fighting until his form was broken and he was trapped in the body of a beast not domestic and not wild- that of a small feline body. He was cast to Hell with the others, but has managed to come and go as he pleases by some odd twist of the fates, perhaps because he is not true to evil as his infernal nature might suggest. While Devi denies any of this, it is clear he has a soft spot for humans and wishes to make their lives better by making sure they have someone watching over them.

So that is what he provided humanity with for many generations after, power and knowledge, a teacher a protector. Someone who could fathom the strange and the audacious and make something brilliant. It usually wound up with them dying, him being flung back into Hell and starting the process over again-time after time, until now.

Samantha Archer was a failing college study, new aged wiccan, typical poser wanting to follow a trend. However Devi took the chance and allowed his astral form to appear and roll out a contract for what she wanted. She wanted knowledge, she wanted someone to teach her how to be successful and to master life, she was scared and alone and needed a hug. You call a demon for that? alright, sign the contract and we have a deal. Devi was summoned and low and behold a small cat was facing across from some strange witchcraft enthusiast, began talking, and then things got interesting. Samantha took Devi's advice to heart, got her degree, and opened up her own shop. It got popular, then the supernaturals began to come through.

This would be fine, Devi had assured her, they would be good customers all he said was don't let the vampires stare into your eyes-and she let the vampires stare into her eyes. A fight broke out between Devi and the client and next thing Devi knows his 'owner' has a love interest and things just get dumb by that point, he tried to watch out for her but one night she left him to go out with her boyfriend the vampire and wow she gets bitten and turned into a willing thrall. The good news? She's immortal so long as her master lives. The bad news? He dumped her. She then asked Devi to help her kill him, Devi agreed on the condition she became a true vampire afterwards.

Bing bang boom they kill the jerk, she drinks some weird potion Devi made with the dude's heart, she becomes a stronger vampire than he was and goes back to running the shop. Now for the past few years they've been getting along fine, Sam feds him, takes care of him like he was her cat and the public is none the wiser, and she continues to live as a witch vampire shopkeep protected by her contracted demon mentor as she in turn guards him by keeping up the facade he's merely an ordinary cat and using her power as a vampire to mask his much more prominent power as a demon from snooping investigators out to hunt those they think are threats to mortals.

Also good food, there were so many delicious rats, he'd get fish, chicken hunks, turkey strips. All the delicious meaty morsels a demon could ever want served to him multiple times a day by a turned vampire who loved to scratch him behind the ears and sit and do nothing for hours out of a day.

Skills: Claws, Vampiric Bite that enthralls mortals bitten, Enhanced Senses, Darkvision. Samantha has superior strength, speed, and agility both by vampiric enhancement and by training for years after becoming a vampire to effectively make use of the gifts. Regeneration, Samantha's regeneration level is enough to reattach limbs and close major gashes not inflicted with holy or iron weapons.

Samantha has become a studious boxer, a handgun owner who practices weekly at the range, and has been taught over years by Devi how to use her vampire abilities to her advantage. She has not unlocked everything there is to offer because Devi is feeding it to her in small doses so she doesn't wind up like her ex, enthralling every girl he can to feed off them and never studying how to use his other traits because there's just too much going on.

Weaknesses: Sunlight, she's used to it now but still extensive periods of sunlight tend to have her smolder badly and requires body coverage regardless. Garlic is a severe allergic reaction, unrefined iron peels her flesh and causes her to hemorrhage. She has no problems entering sanctified areas, but holy water is still deadly, and angelic creatures provide her mild discomfort at best and severe trauma at worst depending on their power level-though Devi's influence can negate this. She is also still young and not used to the dangers of the world, she relies very heavily on Devi's wisdom and advice for anything not related to being a modern woman.

She requires 1 liter of human blood a day, 2 liters if it is animal based. Starving her will cause her pain as her body can't sustain itself for too long, perhaps a few days at most, maybe a week under Devi's power. However if you intend on starving her, be assured she can't reach you to feed. Vampires can grow more intense the hungrier they get to a point they're almost entirely focused on blood consumption and can ignore any amounts of pain and discomfort thrown their way.

Background: Samantha was once just a punk chick who got into wiccan and occultism because it seemed cool at the time while her brain was melting from trying to 'be something' she was failing in college and her parents had told her to piss off essentially. She was desperate but then some stupid old book that had a bunch of demons in it wound up getting turned up in her possession. Apparently one of her friends had swiped it off an angelic investigator, who didn't seem to take note as he was questioning a werewolf about a crime perpetrated on an angel, it was just sitting in a bag. Angels supposedly would confiscate actual occult items, if they had legal standing to do so or that's what some of them would say, so her friend figured it was the real deal and gave it to her before ditching.

Turns out he was being hunted and watched to ditch the evidence before they could grab him so he wouldn't get jail time for theft. He got jail time for theft but not much else that's for sure and she got to keep the book. As she read it all of the demons in it seemed either lame, unhelpful, or just plain evil until she spied a passage about "The Deal Maker". So she made the circle, laid out offerings of meat and then spoke the magical words. At first nothing happened and she figured her friend was a total lying moron.

Then some kind of ghost oozed up and around and stared at her with void like eyes, patting at the meats and lowering to chew at them while keeping eye contact with her, if it could be called that. It asked with a mouth stuffed with turkey bits, half obstructed "Ask mortal, what is your deal?"

"I want to be smarter, I want you to teach me how to be a success" she managed to eek out after swallowing hard that it was really here and now that he had managed to reveal himself.

"What do you offer in return?" the being continued stuffing its face diligently and hungrily

"Everything" her voice was soft and on some levels even now she reconsidered her wording of that, what the hell did that mean?

"Granted" the word came before she had time to back down and in an instant her room was flooded with darkness before a small red eyed furball was sitting across form her chomping on tuna. It stopped paying attention to her and was just gnashing on what was left of the offering purring happily to finish the mortal food. Samantha felt it was some cruel joke until the creature began to talk, introduced itself as Devi, and stated that form that moment on they were linked as partners for however long the deal would last. If she used the gift right, she'd get what she wanted, use it wrong and she becomes another failure added to his bank of souls.

She used it right, Devi helped Samantha earn a Chemistry degree and open up her own shop, then the supernaturals came in and she got tricked by a vampire wannabe lady killed and his stupid hypnotism. One thing led to another and she wound up getting fed on, became a thrall, which was okay until he dumped her like she was some piece of meat. More things led to other things, and she was suddenly over the corpse of her ex lover having pierce his heart. Devi made it into a tolerable tasting potion and shes now a vampire that's bound to a demon which somehow makes her kind of....better? For years she trains, gets spoon fed her powers one after the other.

She learns how to box, starts using handguns weekly, works out on the daily to get sculpted with her new vampire body. She earns street cred as being an authentic provider of occult supplies and witchcraft materials, business stays steady for years while she enjoys being single with her 'pet' and master Devi by her side taking the role of a cat as he should. She acts as his smokescreen against hunters and she gets to keep learning from him for as long as the relationship goes plus she gets a talking cat for a pet out of it.

Despite all his fearsome vocabulary and 'eons of preparation' she still tricks him with a red dot pointed and feather toys on a spring, feeds him all the best meats, and all the gross crap she doesn't want like the giblets. He sleeps with her on her bed, typically on her chest, loves belly rubs and ear scratches and will act as the store's witch hatted mascot when asked nicely. All in all a pretty sweet deal she's been living out for a nice decade, she doesn't need other idiots when she's got Devi, and Devi seems to appreciate her too so that's a plus.

Neither one can stand the hunters, they're obnoxious, but they do have a point. However Samantha has become a fixture of the neighborhood and so at least where she lives, if there are problems people go to Sam and she'll either talk to whoever is being creepy or dangerous, kick their ass, or suddenly they ain't around anymore. While her vampire ex was the first person she has ever killed, it's far from the last, she's the neighborhood watch to be sure and everyone respects what she does, who she is, and how much she cares. Plus Devi will sometimes help out if he's plied with food, usually if Samantha is nervous that they could be more than she can handle.

Devi doesn't talk, doesn't kick ass, Devi will just straight up waste anyone even suspected of foul play or attempted actions within the neighborhood. He says he doesn't care about the people living here; but since everyone comes in and pets him, or gives him treats, or toys, Sam figures that they're his and others aren't allow to touch them. At least that's how Sam wants to see it, and how she feels he see's her, she's his favorite and nobody is allowed to touch her. That's just the way she likes it.

While I've yet to complete these characters (doodles and all that jazz), I think it might be wise to let you know they're happening.

Name: Maris Rand ‘Xandramis’
Age: Older than Genesis

Occupation: Owner and Main Attraction of the Sanctuary Lounge Bar
Appearance:
Xandramis' wings inky black, with sparks of light, as if the stars of the universe were contained within.
The inky substance that leaks out when she shifts into her demonic form also has a similar effect.
Her skin loses all colour when she shifts.

Skills:
Practically speaking she’s immune to all mundane forms of damage.
Supernaturally strong.
Shift between a humanoid and her demonic form.
A mastery of Enochian language enabling her to make powerful magical wards.
While her wings are no longer angelic, they provide the ability of terrestrial flight.
Having been there for much of cosmic timeline, and learned from the seat of the Father she has a understanding of all things within creation.
Able to perceive reality from the largest to smallest scales.

Weaknesses:
As she was but a lowly angel when she fell and not even protected by hell’s touch, practically any divine weapon is capable of destroying her.
While banishment spells can force her out of a location, they can’t send her to hell due in no small part the fact she’s never been to hell in the first place. She always ends up in the same stinking alley, right outside her bar, a major reason she bought the place. Oddly she’s affected by both angel and demon banishment in the same way.
As she is a demon, she lost much of what it was to be an Angel. Though as she never dwelt in hell, she never gained the power that dwells there. Leaving her greatly reduced, unable to perform even the simplest of angelic miracles, nor wield the feeblest flicker of hellfire.

Background:
Xandramis, when the fall of mankind sparked the war of the heavens she threw her lot in with Lucifer. The snake had proven Lucifer’s protestations against mankind, why the father could not see that was beyond her. So was the irony that she fell into disobedience herself, such was her own conviction that the father had somehow made a mistake in creating mankind.
In time she would become jaded by the war, it wasn’t solving anything, the father did not even deem to speak out against it. Content to allow Angels and Demons to battle across the cosmos. So she stepped aside, neither side worth the effort of fighting for though still compelled by the convictions that saw her fall to begin with.
She would find a nice little piece of rock to call home, and watch the sky burn till Father had enough of it all. Well that was the plan anyway, for some reason others found her rock. How they managed that? She never got an answer that would satisfy her, as each had some plausible story about how they just happened upon her. Eventually she had a nice little thing going, a hodge podge of everything that father ever made turning up at her doorstep.
Even a few Angels, including the one some fanatics blamed almost as much as Lucifer for the war. How they got around to that was quite a leap in logic, but she was pretty sure they didn’t like the fact he also skipped out of heaven without anyone noticing. A bit of an oddball for sure, as while she had little trouble keeping the peace between angels and demons, he was acting like the war wasn’t even happening.
But alas the host wasn’t as eager to embrace those that had abandoned the fight, for the Archangels came, Seraphim the lot of them to burn down her little rock. Many were slaughtered, that blood was on her hands, she should’ve known better than to hope that nobody would care there were those that had enough of the war. The oddball stood in their way, giving the survivors their chance to flee.
She ended up on Earth of all places, the one place she never wanted to end up. Birthplace of this entire mess, but there was little she could do about that. Father’s gaze would be fixed upon his favoured creation, he’d already done some pretty intense things to try getting rid of the snake’s influence. Fight or flight? Well neither ended up being her choice, as frankly she’d had enough of both and she didn’t even have her flaming sword anymore.
At least things calmed down once they bundled Lucifer off to Hell, she hadn’t even known Father had made such a place. Xandramis definitely didn’t want to end up there, too many hardliners who’d be miffed she ran off. Though she did feel sorry for Lucifer, after all that effort, only to have Michael lock him away. She was pretty sure it was Michael who did that, though maybe Lucifer finally did something that made father take notice?
In any case, it made things much easier for her, just lay low and keep out of trouble. Well as much as a demon could, humans could get rather irritating times, and while she herself looked more like a good girl than the hell dwellers ended up looking she was still on the Host’s naughty list. Considering what the host did to her little rock, she was fine with that, no way was she forgiving that.
Time flew by as she had her own brand of fun, even getting along with humans, though she preferred the other beings more. They didn’t come with the baggage of being the reason heaven got flipped upside down, well technically speaking, but technicalities were a big reason for the whole mess too so she could live with the seeming hypocrisy.
Eventually opening a bar, Sanctuary, the name of her little rock was the obvious choice. Where she could also dabble in a bit of lounge singing too, there was a reason they were called a Chorus of Angels back in her well behaved days. With things now out in the open though, her business has been getting riskier, all it would take is some member of the Host to come looking for trouble and she’d be carted off to hell without as much as a hello.

Skills:
The most unique skill Genesis has is an aura around him, those within that aura when they make a choice are unable to unmake what they’ve chosen to do. This can cause problems, as it covers impulsive decisions as well. Genesis believes it to be his father’s will, to ensure he truly commits to the choices he makes.

There are only a handful of things in the cosmos that can hurt a Serpahim, and fewer still that can kill one. Genesis has one such a weapon, his own Angel Blade, a divine weapon capable of killing most things natural or otherwise.

Cosmic Awareness, having travelled the length and breadth of creation Genesis has practical knowledge of his Father’s creation.

Cosmic Senses, able to perceive creation right down to it’s building blocks.

Miracles, as an Angel of the Lord they are able to perform numerous things impossible by mortal means. Once able to warp reality as they saw fit, they are now limited by their continued absence from Heaven. Much of what Genesis can do now would seem no different than magic. Healing with a touch, creating an item out of seeming nothingness, cheap parlour tricks compared to his brothers and sisters who dwell in heaven.

Angelic wings, they are able to travel anywhere in creation. Also able to fly normally with them. Genesis limits themselves to the mortal reality, never travelling to Heaven nor Hell.

Weaknesses:
A few weapons in the divine arsenal can harm him, notably weapons held by his fellow Seraphim.
While Angel Banishing will work, it won’t send him to heaven, instead typically hurling him backwards. The distance and whether he goes through walls/windows/etc depending on the strength of the spell.
Angelic Wards will also keep him at bay or bind him, though due to his rank he can overcome them with some effort.
Genesis is truly bound by his word, any choice he makes he is compelled to fulfil to the best of his abilities. Making Genesis rather indecisive at times, knowing that what he chooses will have grave consequences.
While he is indeed amongst the strongest Angels to exist, leaving heaven left him unable to call upon heaven’s power. Leaving him with limited amount of power he can use.


Background:
Before the fall, the snake, Eve, there was a choice made. Not by Lilith, nor Adam, but by the Father of all. For within their grasp was forged a soul, but not the first of man. Upon beholding this soul, the Father would not to let go and allow it to become flesh. That soul would feast hungrily upon the love of the father’s embrace, till it ceased to be a soul anymore. To the suprise of the Host, that which was to be Man, became a Seraphim, Genesis.
The young Angel would not have long to be among his brother and sisters, for the fall of man would soon follow his own creation. And with the fall, would come the war where more choices were to be made, by those that stood by their father and those that threw in their lot with Lucifer.
Genesis made a different choice, for without a word they were gone from the heaven. Travelling the span of creation, allowing the wonder of their Father’s work to distract them from that which troubled their heart. In time they found refuge amongst others, learning quite a bit about the war, the senselessness that had overtaken both sides. Father was still not taking any steps, focused on humanity and their salvation.
The fact a demon was in charge didn’t bother them in the slightest, as while their form may be corrupted by their violent rejection of Father’s will, they were still his beloved brothers and sisters. Enjoying the semblance of returning to the days before the war, without the pressure to choose a side.
Though a choice was made, for the Host had taken offence to the notion that some of their number had once more embraced their wayward brothers and sisters as kin. So this refuge was put to the flame, many were cast down in the battle. Genesis would make a choice of their own, to oppose the Host’s slaughter. Slaying none, their actions would allow many to escape the carnage. It would also set a fair few Angels against them, but they did not understand the reason so their own love for them did not diminish.
After that, they sought out humanity, the creation that lay at the heart of much that shook heaven to it’s core. There was also the notion their own fate was once to be among their number, while Father’s will changed that they really ought to get to know humanity on a personal level. Thus it was Genesis would walk the Earth, while staying out of the focus of Father’s will. Of course there was no hiding from Father, but that wasn’t Genesis’ intention. Father was busy fixing much that corrupted humanity, and they rather not further mess things up blundering in out of curiosity of what it was Father was doing.
The war ended, Lucifer condemned to hell along with the demons they led. Hell had quite an effect on them, even more changed, had they not known them to be brothers and sisters even Genesis might’ve found it hard to love them still. It was weird meeting them at first, but the sorrow with each meeting never faded. Weirder still were the offspring, Cambrion and Nephilim, though not unwelcome as it suggested a love for Father’s mortal creation.
While they contemplated returning to Heaven, never did they enter the halls of their home. It was likely for the best, Father would understand. Besides, humanity was proving quite the interesting beings. Seemed Father had decided to allow them to remain tarnished, well after a fair bit of cleaning, enough to make their choices determine their fate.
But it did mean for every great one, there were plenty of gits. As it was Father’s will, they made no move to prevent that. Though occasionally they did find an excuse to maybe stop a crime or two, pretty sure they weren’t messing up the grand design to stop a little bit of suffering here and there. Excuse was the right word, as it came down to choice, and Father knew that. Nothing got past Father, probably why they gifted Genesis with the power to ensure choices were not made without thought. Or at least to encourage them to choose, sometimes Father was cryptic like that.

I apologize for the massive wall of text.

Name: Alsia Macros
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Race: Visith
Occupation: Assassin/Bounty Hunter/Spy (On vacation, do not call my number!)

Appearance:
Unsuited- Due to her initial imprints having been based on humanity Alsia looks far more human than the average Visisth, and the nature of Visisth as shapeshifters leads to her bearing a great deal of resemblance to a human female. She stands roughly 6 feet in height. She has high cheekbones and a nose that seems slightly thinner than a normal human. Her mouth while looking decidedly human at first glance actually can open several times wider than a human's and if closely examined it becomes apparent that the skin of her cheeks is folded over upon itself in an intricate fashion that allows it to unfold and let her mouth open so widely. It also gives her cheeks a slight wrinkled appearance and results in her mouth being naturally pulled into a slight smile. A close examination of the inside of her mouth will also note differences, she has a second set of teeth that can descend in front of her humanoid ones, these retractable teeth are sharp and clearly made for cutting. The Visisth equivalent to hair grows only from her head and hers is a faded silver blonde in color. It is allowed to behave naturally and is unbound capable of stretching down slightly past her shoulders, tendrils of it often seeming to reach out of their own accord and it frames her face. Her limbs are also slightly longer and slimmer than a humans. Alsia's eyes as mentioned previously are more oblong and set at an angle in her face as they tilt downwards on the way out from the center. Her skin is like all Visisth capable of altering coloration and pattern on command but most often holds a health is slightly pale coloration. Physically the rest of her body aside from her face also is quite similar to a humans. The presence of Vrier sites in Alsia's body is also noticeable as there are slight lumps in her skin where one of the Vrier sites lies, these lumps are firm to the touch. In terms of physical structure she is also less bulky than a human and has very little in the way of noticeable fat deposits. Alsia's eyes are covered by a transparent membrane that protects them from dust or detritus and that can function as a secondary eyelid in regards to blinking. They are slightly more oblong than a humans and distinctly set in an angle in her face, the outer edges of each eye is angled slightly downwards diagonally. The irises of her eyes are orange and Alsia's eyes appear to have no whites. The pupil functions similarly to a humans though it can grow far larger.

Armor Suit- Alsia's armor suit is fairly lightweight for a suit of powered armor and is also form fitting. The helm portion of it has the least resemblance to what lies beneath as it does not have a mold of her face but rather is blank save for two oblong portals that coincide with her eyes. These portals can alter their coloration in response to changing light levels both to protect and to aid Alsia's vision and as such range in their degree of tint depending on the situation. There are slits in the back of the helm that allow for her 'hair' to slip out and remain free despite the helmet. Her armor suit is slightly thicker in the back of the chest area then its otherwise formfitting nature would lead one to expect as the power battery for the armor is contained within that area. The limbs of the suit almost perfectly mold to Alsia's own though they notably add a slightly more pointed tip to each of her fingers. The lower limb portions of the armor are similar as the foot piece on the whole ends in a more pointed fashion than her actual feet. The armor similar to her choice of attire is white and golden in coloration. Alsia's armor suit also has weapons attached, twin plasma whip generator handles are attached at the waist and can be drawn at her discretion, further she typically carries the MI Universal Rifle VI strapped to her back, other weapons that are always present are a pair of plasma sword generators which are also attached at her waist.

Skills:

Vrier Stimulation- Like all members of the Visisth race Alsia possesses Vrier sites spread throughout her body. These sites contain a unique type of cell known as Vrier cells that have similar traits to embryonic stem cells but are far quicker and have a vastly larger number of potential affects in use. Alsia can mentally stimulate the Vrier sites throughout her body to cause the release and determine the function of Vrier cells. These cells will rapidly multiply and release the necessary hormones and enzymes to aid in bringing about the desired change as well as forming the substance of the change if the change adds any physical features. For example in order to form an increased tolerance to cold Vrier cells could be released and form a highly insulating layer of tissue beneath her skin to protect her internal organs from the cold, similarly the Vrier cells can graft themselves onto existing muscle structures and augment them to increase Alsia's strength, or form a hard layer over her skin to function as a form of crude natural armor. In addition stimulation of Vrier cells can allow for rapid wound treatment, while true healing takes a long time, typically about a week to regrow a single limb the Vrier cells can be released to form a scab or to staunch bleeding rapidly after an injury is inflicted. Further they can be used to grow additional appendages or modifications to her existing ones such as claws or an additional set of arms, the time it takes for a Vrier shift of that level depends on its magnitude.

Superhuman strength/speed- Visisth are naturally faster and stronger than a human of equivalent age and build even without the stimulation of Vrier sites. Further due to the vigorous training regimes that Alsia was forced to undergo in youth and the fact that she has continued them to this day makes her as strong as naturally possible for a Visisth who is not using the Vrier shifts to gain strength. She is able to lift roughly 800 pounds without the use of a Vrier shift or her armor, with a Vrier shift designed to increase her physical strength Alsia can lift roughly 1200 pounds, when wearing her suit and employing a Vrier shift Alsia is able lift roughly 1 ton though that is the extreme upper limit. Similarly Alsia is faster than a human being able to naturally maintain a steady pace of 40 miles per hour for several hours at a time. A Vrier shift designed to give her greater speed can increase her speed to between 70 and 80 miles per hour. Her armor sadly despite being incredibly useful does not increase her speed though it also does not decrease it. Alsia also naturally has faster reflexes and a quicker reaction time than a human.

Visisth Endurance- Visisth on the whole are very resilient creatures and killing one is a matter of some difficulty. Due to their Vrier cells Visisth tend to be able to fight even after sustaining injuries that would kill a human, that is not to say that they are unkillable merely that they can take more abuse than a human. It's also very difficult to force a Visisth to bleed to death. Endurance further refers to the fact that she will take a long time to tire but as she is organic she can still become exhausted and weaken.

Calm under fire- Alsia is a veteran of many conflicts and a life of training as well as a natural apex predator. There is little that she has not seen in her time in the field and even fewer things that could phase or shock her. She is highly unlikely to suffer from fear or doubt in the course of combat even if fighting against something that seems invincible and she is difficult to distract.

Duel Wielding- While most who attempt this fail to be effective Alsia has trained extensively to be able to wield a melee weapon in each hand and to use them to devastating efficiency. She is quick to seize openings and fights with a fluid style, preferring not to resort of brute force but perfectly willing to do so if necessary. She prefers to use her twin plasma whips to the sword and is extremely skilled in their use as well.

Expert Marksman- Alsia can aim and fire her rifle in a matter of fractions of a second. She has been proven to be able to shoot accurately while falling or after having been thrown in the air on her way down. She is highly unlikely to miss even under extremely difficult circumstances such as being set on fire or suffering from serious injury. Adverse environmental conditions also do little to impair her ability to shoot accurately.

Weapons:

Universal Rifle VI Prototype- The URVI is an experiment weapon that she is currently using as a field test for the company. An improvement over earlier models of the Universal Rifle the VI is substantially lighter and possesses a charge function, rather than an immediate discharge the weapon can be set to a mode in which it will charge the shot, increasing power until the trigger is released. It is a surprisingly small rifle with little in the way of kick and as such can be fired rapidly and accurately, also an improvement over earlier models. The name Universal Rifle comes from the nature of its projectiles, superheated plasma bolts which have proven the most effective form of ammunition in her home level of the multiverse. Dubbed the Universal Rifle for its ability to cause damage to nearly anything it is quite powerful. However like all prototypes the URVI is far from perfect, firstly it is prone to overheating and if it is not vented regularly it is likely to overload and shut down for emergency cooling. The venting process is quite ingenious however as it does allow for the weapon to still be used offensively, coolant is flushed into the firing chamber of the rifle and then ejected as a super heated blast of steam.

Plasma sword generators- A semi circle of energy projectors mounted on a hilt which contains the power source, a plasma sword generator does not look particularly impressive when inactive. When active however the blade is a full 4 feet in length and glows with a white light. The blade consists of pure plasma held in place by sophisticated gravitic fields, it is able to cut through most non energy based or otherwise charged items with a few strikes. She has two of these.

Plasma whip generators- These look quite similar to lightsaber generators in Star Wars. They are slightly curved however so as to be more easily held in her hands and to confirm to the contours of them for a steadier grip. The plasma whips are very difficult weapons to use as an incorrect swing could result in the wielder striking himself or herself. Despite this they are impressive weapons. By spinning rapidly with them Alsia can create an imperfect bubble of charged air around herelf that can at least in part negate most forms of energy strikes that are fired towards her and reduce the strain on her armor during the duration.

Natural weapons- Assuming the use of a Vrier shift and that she is not wearing her armor Alsia can generate claws and or other combat related alterations to her body such as spines or spikes. These are varied in terms of effectiveness but are mere weapons of flesh and bone even if that flesh and bone is strong.

Armor:
Power Armor- Alsia's power armor is quite simply that, power armor and unlike many forms of power armor it does not have weapons that are built specifically into it. Alsia's armor is like much of her equipment manufactured originally by Macros International, the company which raised her and was made specifically to fit her and only her. It is fashioned from a malmetal alloy and like many malmetal constructs is capable of shifting form depending on the manner in which it is stimulated. Specifically her armor is able to retract and condense itself into a small pack which is strapped to her back beneath her clothing, and to expand to cover her on command. It will take a post for the armor to either extend or retract unless it is critically damaged in which case she can give the jettison command and it will simply slough off of her. Her armor boosts her strength and defense significantly as noted previously and provides strong amounts of resistance to energy based weapons as it is charged for that purpose. It is also effective at stopping small arms fire to a degree. Larger non energy based weapons are more quick to penetrate it as though malmetal is many things it is not able to withstand consistent physical abuse as well as heavier less energy resistant metals. It also provides a degree of insulation from extreme heat and cold as it does have internal thermal controls. These can of course be overwhelmed with continued exposure.

Weaknesses:
*Vrier Stimulation is draining and multiple shifts in a short time will begin to wear heavily on the user. Further Alsia does have a limited amount of Vrier cells stored in the sites and while they do regenerate over time it is possible to deplete them temporarily.
*Vrier stimulated abilities such as the growth of natural armor or others that significantly alter her appearance or would not fit within her armor suit cannot be used while she is wearing the suit.
*Fire control must be exercised to avoid overheating her ranged weapon
*Her armor offers less resistance to strong impacts from physical rather than energy based weapons.
*Like all Visisth she has an instinctive fear of fire, while this is not as strong due to her training the presence of large amounts of it can still be problematic. Typically the presence of large amounts of fire triggers an instinctual desire to flee as well as causing her physical discomfort. In particular she often experiences nausea and hot and cold flashes. Nausea is especially unpleasant as it is difficult to vomit inside of a suit. Alsia will also attempt to avoid fire if possible and this can occasionally inconvenience her.
*Vulnerability to fire. Wounds stemming from fire and burns are difficult to heal and tax her natural healing factor significantly more than other injuries.

Background:
Alsia like all Visisth was born on their home-world of Lierin I. Also like all Visisth Alsia had a period of time in which her body would naturally be incredibly mutable and composed nearly entirely of Vrier cells, a time during which impressions such as environment and the appearance of other life forms determines what the base of the Visisth's body would be like. This process of imprinting was interrupted when Alsia along with several other young Visisth were taken from Lierin I by agents of the corporation Macros International. The Visisth had been marked as sentient but not yet civilized and as such their world was supposed to be off limits to everyone according to laws governing interaction with sentient alien species. Albrecht Macros, the immortal founder of the company that bears his name was far less willing to allow a race with such potential to go to waste and when the law conflicted with his agenda he simply arranged for it to be broken. The other young Visisth had already begun to differentiate and come to a set appearance which made them invalid for the plans that Macros had in mind and they were used for experiments to test just how impressive their adaptive abilities were. Alsia on the other hand had barely begun the process and as of that point had formed no comprehensive imprint. While this meant she was not fated to be poked and prodded for years it also meant that a very different experiment could be performed with her.

She was raised in the company of humans deliberately in order to force a human imprint upon her and the results were not unsuccessful as she can pass for human in a crowd unless one knows what to look for. Ultimately she would excel in her training and prove to be an extremely valuable operative for the company. She also came to form a rather close bond with the ancient one who heads it, one that was perhaps surprisingly reciprocated as she was in essence adopted into the family. Hence her taking of the name and use of it as the closest thing she has to a surname. She has been deployed on a myriad different collection of operations, most frequently involving corporate espionage or elimination of potential threats.

Alsia's opportunities to take a vacation or have down time are rather limited. Fortunately she has access to the resources of her adoptive family and one of them is essentially a temporal gateway that can be set to various times and places. In essence, she goes back and visits the past for her vacations. (Besides, earth is way nicer now then it is in the future... megacities suck!)
